What do you think I need on my computer to open them? Hi, It did that to me once last night but now its fine. Try closing your browser and opening it again.

Hi, I thought I'd relate a few of my experiences at my pre-op day today! I saw a nurse anesthetist first. That went well. She was very thorough in going over my medical records, asked a lot of questions, explained the anesthesia process in pretty good detail. Then we went to Panera bread for lunch. They serve certain Soups on certain days and I lucked out because they were serving my favorite vegetarian garden vegetable.. 90 calories a bowl. And I had a half turkey sandwich. Not bad for calories for eating out. When we went back to see the surgeon, he decided he wanted me to have an upper g.i. so they sent me to radiology right away. That wasn't too bad until they made me lie flat on that cold, hard xray table and THEN... turn over on my stomach! I hated that! It was uncomfortable and I was afraid I was going to fall off the table.. its so narrow! They did find a hiatal hernia, but the doctor said it is small enough that he doesn't think he'll have to fix it. He is a little concerned about some abnormal "motility" in my esophagus. Hmmmm... all in all it wasn't a bad day and I was so nervous. He was very pleased with my weight loss. One thing that made me REALLY MAD... this time when they measured me they said I was 4' 11 1/2 "!! Give me a break!! I'm happy to lose inches, but NOT IN THAT DIRECTION!! What's up with that??? So I have a FAT HEAD and I lost 1/2 inch in height!! No way!! Do you know what that did to my BMI??? Bumped it back up over 60 and I was so thrilled when it went to 59.6!! Bummer! :omg::omg::confused::omg::confused::omg::confused::omg::faint:

Yes! That was the one. He joked about being beat up by a girl the entire concert. From what I understand he fell asleep, with his legs stretched in front of him, and just happened to be TOUCHING her armrest (They make it sound like he was kicked back with his foot up on top of it), she asked him to move (him being asleep, didn't hear), and he apparently woke up to this woman beating on him... I really don't think he is at all the diva the media makes him out to be. It was one of the most intimate concerts I'd ever been to, and I really felt like he cared about his fans, and he wasn't just there to perform, he was there to perform FOR us. And he openly communicated with the audience the entire show. (The Brady Theater in Tulsa is not a very big venue) I've never been to the Brady Theater... or to a Clay concert, but I think I have all his albums & enjoy his music. Best of luck with your surgery... tomorrow, right? Will be praying for you. ~*Ash*~

Dini, I'm all butterflies today... nervous about going for my pre-op appointments with anesthesia and surgeon!! I don't know why I'm feeling so nervous about it, but I better go get ready. Its a long drive! Talk at y'all later! ( Y'all is leftover from my Okie days!)

Hi, Dini, I didn't poop out on ya last night. I play Scrabble with my sisters & some friends and I went to the scrabble site to send a couple of turns back. When I came back you'd given up and went to bed. No one to "talk" to. So I went to the chat room and talked to "Big Wave Dave" and another gal. Dave is being banded soon so I told him to c'mon over here and meet Danny cuz he needs some male company on our July thread!

Sandy, Not to discourage you but one doc's office here in WA state told me they had a 3 yr wait for Medicare pts. So I just kept calling around until I found one that would take me right away. That was back in March or April and I'm having my surgery next week. I don't know where in Idaho you are, but I know there is a doctor in Spokane who takes Medicare. Even though its 5 hours from me, I had considered going there until I found this doctor locally. They were going to take me if I promised to continue with them for followup.

Our youngest son lives in Colcord...never been there, he just moved there. I think he said its near the Arkansas border. He was in Grove before that. We just moved back to WA state, but we'll be back to Ok to visit from time to time. It is nice to be back to the mountains, and the trees, and the water! I love to ride the ferries! My surgery date is 7/20.

wAS THAT the Clay Aiken concert in Tulsa?? I read on the internet that he got in a little trouble with a lady on his flight in to Tulsa. Put his foot on her armrest or something. My son's mother-in-law is a Clay Aiken groupie! She's flying from Seattle to L.A. to one of his concerts this summer. I like him, too, but she's sort of obsessed. Sorry, we're a little off topic!

Hey, Renee, We just left Oklahoma after 15 years there. We were in OKC & Edmond. Now in the Pacific NW because three of our kids are on the west coast... one left in OK. I enjoyed your post.
