Had my sleeve April 9. My trick is to make sure you eat what you like. My gas has subsided but my stomach growls a lot. Also remember your shakes count as part of your liquids; that's already 30-40 oz. a couple more glasses of water and your good. Introduce puréed food slowly. Walk walk walk. I feel great. Had surgery April 9. I was up five pounds when I got home. Its normal. It's swelling, fluid, gas, and your body adjusting to its new stomach. Don't get discouraged. It'll start to fall off. It may take a couple of weeks.
I take a centrum chewable multivitamin/ multimineral and 2000 iu d3. Postoperative my dr added 1200 mg chewable calcium citrate and a sublingual 1000mcg b-12 every other day. I had my surgery April 9. Be sure to ask your anesthesiologist for lots of anti nausea medication. That helps after surgery. Take as much pain med as allowed. Stay ahead of it. I had very little pain. And im only taking tylenol now. I did have the left shoulder pain. Turns out it's from the gas they inject when they do the surgery laparoscopically. I am eating and drinking fine except for a lot of stomach gurgling and gas. Walking helps a lot. Dr Thomas Chua in Milwaukee WI is the best.
