I have to get my a1c down or they are canceling mine on the 24th of october i feel fustratates. What do the numbera have to be? I am diabetic how do i get it to be normal if my normal isn't normal? Ugggggghggg

Well i got my date Oct. 24. I say i think because if my a1c levels are high i need to postpone it until its under control. Man I under stand why but it's a downer. Has anyone had this happen?

I can't wait I go on the 25th to find out what the surgeon is going to say. Either I have to do one more thing and or when my surgery date is. Wish me luck.

Diabetes is my motavation to why i made my decision on having surgery.I does some things to my amune system and my eye is swollen almost shut because my body does not heal as fast. I can't wait to be healthy again. I knowit isn't a cure but will definetly be helpful in managing my diabetes.

I do think it come from fear and other people churping in his ear about me probably thowing up and getting sick. I am doing the surgery i was researching about it even before i met him so i am just going to have to explain to him the whole process to him. Hopefully he comes around cause i don't like doubting. I am glad i have this forum to be able to vent cause i really have no one to talk to who know how i feel. Thank you

Today after go through the gastric process for almost 5 months tells me " i think that surgery should be the last result" really!!!! Are you serious as he kept talking i felt more and more unhappy with him. Now I am only waiting for a date from surgeon and he says that. I am so confused not by my decision but by him being able to be supportive after the surgery. If someone is out there who is going through this or has,please help.

Wow never said i didn't read the whole tread because i did and my answer still stands sorry but it is what it is. Keep working on the relationship I envy you for being open and honest with us and glad you can hear good or bad. You look great.

Don't worry one man's junk (pardon the word)is another mans treasure hang in there if your realtionship is that unique i am sure once you find someone attractive to you he will have a problem.

My doctor was very sarcastic also but when i told that it harder to take insulin 4 times a day and to take steroids 2 times a day then this decision. She looked at me and saif your right. But I'm looking for another doctor after this.

I just had my pre surgery testing and sleep study in August probably will have surgery in September i cant wait.

I finally got approved. I am on my way for pre testing ekg and gi exam. I am nervous

I was told that when you get this surgery you find out who your real friends are maybe its the same for lovers. I can not wait til my significant other comes out his face and say something negative its the day he will feel my fury cause I have given him every opportunity to get out how he really feela and even took him to see the surgin. I wish you luck because when you love someone their feelings usually come befor yours but your on your way to taking care of you. Good luck I want to know in the future how this turns out.
