  1. June 3rd...I am so READY for this day to come & go...lol
  2. Good luck, u are going to be fine and I will also keep u in my prayers. :) :) :)
  3. I wanna say thank you to all of you guys for the encouraging words. BELIEVE me I needed to hear it all, I get down sometimes because I think even IF I loose 200lbs, I will STILL be overweight BUT I have to remind myself that I will be 200lbs AWAY from where I use to be. I am glad I joined this forum because everybody is so supportive here and sometimes we just need another person that has been where we been to help us push a little harder. Now, Im greatful for the encouragement but yall got me crying and I dont wanna mess up my lashes so STOP it...lol
  4. I'm feeling VERY down today! I get on this forum everyday, I look at ppl's progress and I am so happy for them but then I read the stats of their pre surgery weight and I get so dwn about it. Some of u guys are starting this wls at 300 lbs, 275lbs and even 215lbs and here I am at 500+lbs and I'm just getting my date. Believe me, no 1 is to blame for this but me but when I see ppl that had the wls already...I'm thinkin I have SO MUCH WEIGHT TO LOOSE, Im worried about just getting to some of yalls STARTING weight . Im just really feeling like is this surgery gonna be enough for me to be at a normal weight? I'm scared to even put during and after pics on this forum because Im ashamed it will take a decade to even get to where you guys are! Im sorry for being a buzz kill 2day but this is just how I'm feeling 2day.
  5. OMG, I still havent stopped yet...will it affect anything? Im worried
  6. I dont kno the answer to that but I have a ? for you. How long did you stop before the procedure? Was it a month, weeks or days...PLEASE help, my day is June 3
  7. So how long do u have to stop smoking before and after the surgery?
  8. Lets keep it real, like real real...if u get in a relationship with a person and the sex is bad, u are not going 2 stay for long. Seriously, u will try 2 and u will probably try 2 teach them what u like but if it doesnt get better, you WILL leave. Be honest with urself
  9. Well, I happen 2 be a BBW and personally I'm just attracted to slim men...we fit. Seriously, I think about everything and if its 2 big ppl, we need a bigger car, bigger bed, more food possibly, clothes are more expensive and I worry about wht sex would be like and I can NOT have bad sex, he would loose my attention....its shallow but true
  10. I am also a food addict....my problem is not that I eat alot but I eat the wrong things EVERYTIME. I love pastas, breads, cheese & potatoes...its my weakness. I think that we learned the emotional eating behavior as children/teens, see in my family if u had a good report card "lets go eat", if its ur bday "lets go eat", if u graduate "lets go eat", u got a better job "lets go eat" ect. its even been times that I fell and hurt myself and my mom would bandage me up & give me a popsicle...I think all of that is the root of emotional eating, so I personally believe that all of us have some type of reaction to food, we learned it. Im excited and scared all at the same time because I dont want to fail at this. Its life or death for me and thats the way I'm looking at it.
  11. Are there any sleevers out there that weighed over 500 lbs? Im really interested in knowing if you had to go back for the 2nd half of surgery or did you lose enough with just the sleeve? Please let me know what to expect, I have ALOT of weight to loose!
  12. Thank you Melissa1234, I hope so because this is not a good feeling...waiting AND cant eat...lol
  13. The nurse said, she does not know...all she know is they said it was too difficult to intubate me and maybe it happened during that process. shrugs I kno 1 thing they can make that the new weight loss operation of the year...because with ur tongue cut u will NOT eat...lol
  14. I just spoke with the doctor and he said that my neck is short and fat and that is the reason that they had an issue, so of course my 1st ? was "HAS THIS HAPPENED BEFORE?" They said, yes so we have to find a person that is more experienced and have them to do the intubation. So I'm thinking if you haver had this problem before then why wouldnt u just have that anest. for the "fat neck" people instead of putting people thru this the 1st time? Anyway, they are looking for someone else to do this for me and then they will redo it. So the waiting game continues
  15. The reason im so worried is because this procedure decides my destiny as far as the sleeve goes....but thank you for helping me to understand this better.
  16. I was scheduled to get alot of test done on friday the 12th, so I did and everything was going very well until I got to the Endo...1st the doctor was not at the hosp yet, so I had to wait 1hr before we can begin. Then they said they were going to do it in the OR, which was a little weird to me but ok...So I get in the OR and the anesthesiologist wanted me to get on the small table and so I did and the doctor was like no we are going to do it on her bed, so I got back on the bed and the doc told me to turn on my side, so I did and the anest. said NO she needs to be on her back so I can intervate her. So I took the oxygen thing and I was out in seconds, well whn I came back around I was in recovery with nurses EVERYWHERE and the doc said the procedure is to risky to perform and I was in ALOT of pain...I was the same way I was whn I got in the OR so the procedure never begun. My tongue was cut almost in half on the right side and I couldnt talk or anything and they were giving me Tylenol thru the i.v for pain & my legs were hurting so bad I couldnt harldy move them...and I'm thinking the whole time WHAT HAPPENED TO ME? My mom came in later and said the doctor told her that my neck is to short and I got soft tissues in my neck so they couldnt intervate me, so if I was to stop breathing they would have to do a trac...wtf? My doctor said, I have done this surgery on people much bigger than you but your neck is to short...REALLY? Has anybody else ever heard of something like this? Now my doctor wants to try the procedure again at a different hosp...what really happened here?
  17. Hello Group I'm new to the group and I am very excited to report that I will be sleeved June 3, 2013! I have already done the pysch eval, got the cardiac clearence, done 2 of my 3 nutrionist appointments, endoscopy scheduled this friday and then I'm ready to go. I have to say tho, I did schedule myself some appointments with my pysch. outside of the sleeve because I have done ALOT of research and I am very worried about the addiction transfer. I am glad I found this group because its really nice to be able to read stories from people going thru your same struggles. Thank you all and good luck, see u on the LOSERS bench!!!!!!!!!
