  4. Thank you so much :-) I wish us all luck and endurance because it'll pay off in the end. Hang tight, guys and gals.
  5. I'm at my 1 month post op appt with my surgeon and everything is wonderful! I've lost a total of 41.5 lbs since I began this lifelong journey and 29.5 in the month since my surgery. I am so excited about life and I look forward to doing so much more livin'! As young as I am (22), I feel like I've just had a rebirth and this new me is awesome!
  6. I was never big on Greek yogurt because it was just too plain-tasting for me. I decided to suck it up and be a grown up and eat the yucky stuff and ya know what? I do believe I'm addicted now lol I bought Chobani 0 percent (1 black cherry and 1 pomegranate) and they were soooo delicious. Unlike the plain kind, these have fruit at the bottom and they have 0 fat, 21g sugar and 14g of Protein per container. Definite win :-)

    bread amd rice

Haven't had rice yet. Had a few bites of bread today and felt sooo horrible afterwards, I've sworn never again. Ditto for rice and pasta.

how to know when you're full?

I'm 20 days post op and find that the first indication of my being full is when I burp. Any bite I take after I burp leads to the feeling of being overly full and makes me nauseous.

Head Hunger - Advice from Vets

I know exactly what you mean! I'm 9 days post op too and I find myself making more food than I can finish because after 6-8 spoons (with breaks in-between) I feel stuffed and I even get nauseous if I try to eat more. I've started making smaller portions because I tell myself there's no need wasting the food, which is what happens. It gets easier once you consciously think of how little food you're really going to eat, and how much time, effort and $$ you'll save yourself when you don't give in to the head hunger. It's hard but you got this
  19. I got the Celebrate calcium citrate in cherry tart flavor and its absolutely delish! The pills are quarter-sized but you only have to chew 3 daily. Very yummy
