  1. Lost 5 more lbs in just two weeks. Excited
  2. Everything that you thought was normal...you will now consider The New Normal.
  3. Ramen noodles wouldn't be the best choice. I'm on day 3 of my pre op diet and have only felt hungry once. Try a shake followed by a bottle of Water. Then have a creamy Soup later with a bottle of water and Crystal light. Eat some Greek yogurt and cottage cheese for Breakfast. There are several different options.
  4. I've made a conscious decision not to tell my family. I live in the same house as my mother and will not be telling her. Based on history and knowing them, this makes for a far less stressful decision to keep them in the dark. The only person that knows is my daughter (who is uber supportive) and my best friend, only because I want him to sit with my daughter in the waiting room so she isn't alone. My grandmother would worry herself to death so I'm just asking her to say a prayer for me for my birthday (my surgery day). Will I ever tell them? No. Everything isn't for everybody. Definitely make the best decision for you.
  5. Yesterday was my first day of my pre op diet. My surgery date is June 7th. I wasn't very hungry but I do feel like I didn't get enough of anything. I only had on Protein Shake, about 5 bottles of Water, I did make a salad for lunch and beef broth for dinner. That's about it. That broth did make me a bit nauseous but I did finish it. I'm not a fan of beef broth. Now put an onion in it with texas toast and a slab of cheese and you got a winner. SORRY! lol Today I had a Protein shake, chocolate pudding, 5 bottles of water and hoping to have some broccoli and cheddar Soup for dinner. I'm not doing something right.
  6. That movie was hilarious
  7. Does anyone have an old remedy for clearing up the irritation on your inner thigh from the friction? My inner thighs have always been darker so now that I'm losing, I'd like to lighten them up. Any suggestions?
  8. Oh no...not my sleeve sis. Sorry to hear
  9. Oh ok. That's one helluva trip to make
  10. Where are you having your surgery in Maryland?
  11. St. Agnes in Baltimore
  12. Mine is 6/7 also. Where are you having yours done?
  13. LOL...yeah I did ask. I figured I was pushing it. I'll just reschedule. Thanks
  14. I think I might have lost my mind. Grant it, these are chair massages and it's very little strain on my own body but a week out....how did you really feel? Do you think you could "lean" on people for several hours? Reschedule? Lost my mind? LOL
  15. I weighed in and lost 8 lbs in 4 weeks. My trainer said I should've lost more so I gotta lot more work to do. *sigh*
  16. Oh ok. I'm in Accokeek
  17. I haven't been having a problem. I don't do funerals in real life Soooooo saying goodbye to foods doesn't bother me. Honestly, is not a goodbye, I'll see it later but hopefully I make better choices, eat far less, their some fruits, veggies and throw some Water in there. I stay my two week preop on 5/24 and have lost about 10 lbs so far. Easy breezy
  18. Hey Eressa...what area in PG? I live in pg too
  19. Holy CRAP. I wasn't expecting to hear how much more some had to pay. That's crazy. I apologize, I didn't mean to boast. But at least we have insurance to cover a great portion of this.
  20. Very true, thanks. My biggest fear is being saggy and having no muscle at all
  21. Came home to find a bill for my copay. They said I have to pay it before the surgery or it'll be cancelled. Guess I'll write it this $98 check. I can handle that. I don't think I have to pay anything else but I'll call and make sure.
