  1. It really depends. My nutritionist had me start taking two multi vitamins a day. Stop drinking pop and juice and caffeine I don't drink coffee but I did drink tea with sugar and caffeine in it. She had me work on not eating bread. I was required to lose 20 pounds by my surgeon as well.
  2. I live in Oregon and have the Oregon health plan plus (trillium) they had a 6 month supervised diet then it took 1 week for aaproval.
  3. I completly agree with deedee. The body needs lots of time to heal and at only 3 months out its still hard to get all your nutrients in. I'd at least wait a year
  4. I have been taking two multi vitamins a day since I started my 6 month supervised diet. I just ordered my liquid multi vitamin and liquid calcium magnesium citrate and bought soome gas x strips, b12 cherry 3000 sublinguals and 2 bottles of magnisium citrate for the bowl prep. This weekend I go shopping for after surgery food. I have a case and a half of premier protein..should prob buy some unjury chicken soup but it's so damn salty to me!

  11. I have a one week diet of two shakes and a small meal for dinner then the last two clear liquids.
  12. Hi all! I have been approved but won't get a date till next Friday. Surgery coordinator said I'm looking at second week of January!
  13. Most people would have to restart their 6 months. But you should check with insurance.

  15. Hi all I just got news I've been approved. Won't have a official date till Friday the 27th cause I guess they can't schedule me till after my nutrition class. Odd cause in their book it's after I've been approved. Anyways my pre op will be first week of january second week surgery.
  16. Unfortunately I will not be a December sleever. I won't get my date till Friday the 27th and she said my preop will be the the first week of January and surgery the second week. You guys are awesome. I guess I'm off to January 2014 page.
  17. I was approved for surgery yesterday! I couldn't get a date from my center because everyone left early since we got quite a bit of snow.hopefully I'll get a date Monday.
  18. My 20 pound weight loss was required by my surgeon. They require everyone to lose between 10 and 20 pounds depending on your body shape.
  19. I too had a 6 month wait and 20 pounds to lose. I've lost about 25 and just found out I've been approved. I was walking 2+ miles a day and drinking a shake for breakfast or lunch. Good luck to you! Things go by quick twards the end.
  20. I've been approved but since it's snowing hard the bariatric center was closed
  21. i would be so angry. I was told my case is being reviewed so I'm going to call them later today. Doesn't your insurance have a certain amount of time? I was told mine has 14 days.
