    Any one have regrets!

I'm 10 weeks out and seem to be doing really good with my hair. I did have the band for 6 years and had the revision to the sleeve so maybe that helps since it's not a total shock to my body. I took Biotin 500mcg before the surgery (1 month) and have continued that. I'm not big on protein shakes but try to get them in. Some regrets b.c I can't enjoy food the way I use too which is probably a good thing, and going out to dinner, yea forget that, it is so hard to eat or I can't eat it all. I know I am new and it will get easier to eat, but right now it is still hard to do. I wouldn't change it though. I use to be 300 the band took me to 185, I gained back some and ballooned to 235 b.c my band had to be un-filled and I'm not back on track at 196

    recovery and pain factor

I had a band for 6 years and just had the sleeve done, well 10 weeks ago. Honestly I thought the band was worse than the sleeve. I could constantly feel where the band was and it hurt. When I had the sleeve I wasn't in much pain and couldn't tell I had anything done at all. The only pain was on my right side where the drain was, other than that I was fine. You can't eat as soon after the sleeve as you can with the band, but you will get through it. I think the first 3 weeks are the hardest. Good Luck
  3. You look great! I feel like I can't win...I had the sleeve on 3/6/2013 and was 224, mind you I dropped 11 lbs on that 1 week liquid diet. I am now 196.5, I cannot seem to get the scale to move fast enough. I work out and do everything I think I should do. Can anyone relate? I don't know if it is also b.c I am a revision and my body has done this before. I had the lab band for almost 6 years and dropped 130 lbs. That of course was removed and I got the sleeve. Any suggestions??
  4. Good luck, it is hard I will tell you that. The first 2 weeks I think after surgery are the hardest. I was hungry until I found the right protein and could actually eat soup with noodles. I'm 2 weeks out today and each day get's better Just keep your chin up after you have the surgery. It is no walk in the park
  5. I had my lapband unfilled for a month prior to the sleeve. My surgeon wanted my stomach to heal before he did the surgery. I gained 15lbs...grrrr. I did great with the lapband, I lost 130 lbs within the first 2 years and had it for 6 years. My stomach stretched though
