SCARED!!! BANDED IN 4 hrs
Hi there remember to breathe!! You will not feel a thing during surgery, you fall asleep wake up to find that it's all over with. I'm not going to tell you there is no pain involved, I may have had more because I dislocated ribs at the time. Gas-x helped, and the liquid codeine. Remember to keep moving slowly every hour and stay hydrated. I will pray for you and if you have more questions, feel free. It's not as bad as you are inticipating, the surgery is the easy part..trust me. Good luck!!

Hi everyone I was banded and on the purree stage but was wondering if before you get your first fill you can tolerate different food ex. bread, pop? Can eating harder things damage the band? I'm just getting sick of the mushy stuff. Thanks Kat

It could be infected, I would clean it and put polysporin on it. And have the doctor look at it.

Banding.....August 2007! Who else?
Hi. Yes it's Ontario, Canada. No, the lap band is not covered by insurance here but the gastric bypass is. You can apply for some sort of coverage that helps pay for the surgery but you pay it all back. The price for surgery here is $16 000 canadian.
