shoulder pain
It's just air trapped from the surgery...you're abdomen is blown up with air and that air travels upward into your shoulder area afterward. It will last a few more days :-P

Anyone else
I'm in purée and I ask friends to go to breakfast places. I order a poached egg so I know it wasn't cooked in lard. It's worked great so far and my bill is like $1.00! Lol We are cheap dates now

OMG LETS GET ON WITH IT
I found that "better than bullion" plus some protein powder helped curb that feeling when I was in the first 2 wks. I could also control the taste of the broth and make it stronger/weaker depending on how I was feeling. Plus warm things felt better than cold and were more satisfying.

Old Habits Die Hard...
Also, one more rant. As a collective whole we have more information than any one Dr so I use that information every day to sift through what I'm told and what others are told. It's incredibly useful information. Yes, there are some that I think do harmful things to themselves here. However, I try to respond in a positive manner. For example: "I'm on day 9 and I ate a whole sausage"...me: be careful, you're still healing! Let your Dr know.

Old Habits Die Hard...
Telling someone not to use a straw is just moronic. It's a straw not a brownie...get off the soap box. If my Dr told me not to use a straw I still would if I didn't have problems. If the Dr said this quite frankly I'd get a different Dr. It's like when I went to the Dr (yes a physician) for HCG and they said not to use lotion because you absorb fats...most ridiculous crap ever, we aren't frogs.

Vitamins
That's what I use...they are kinda yummy too. My nut took the box so she can tell others

March sleevers.. Progress?
3/26 and I'm down 28lbs from 277 (5'6). I usually eat 1/2 cup cottage cheese for breakfast and 1/2 hour after an EAS (I noticed since I've been using those for Protein I'm dropping faster they are only 100 cal) lunch is generally Greek yogurt (plain) with a tablespoon of sugar free jelly. Just this week though I lost 5lbs after switching to carbmaster yogurt from Krogers (only 3gr of sugar instead of 9 in the plain Greek). dinner is hard for me so I generally have another shake and then maybe an egg or Soup with a scoop of protein or tuna. Swordfish was awesome for a few days because its packed with protein but its expensive. I also have a sugar free pudding usually before bed (I just bought the mix instead so I can make it with protein powder). I'm on purée but chicken purée is gross...I'm not a big meat eater. I've also eaten refrieds and mushed black Beans but they are kinda sticky feeling and not my favorite. Good luck! I notice when I switch things up is when I lose...and when I walk more of course.

Tanning Beds

March 20th sleevers
I was the same day and it took 4 days. The hospital almost kept me another night because I hadn't had one yet. Warning...the first one hurts! I cheated and had coffee to start mine (2oz did the trick). Good luck! You need to have one though its been way too long...may be suppository time!

Surgery on monday! Any last minute advice?
Someone on here suggested an extension cord to plug in your phone and I was thankful I'd brought one! Also, I brought a work out bra because you won't be able to put a regular one on without pain. Conditioner for the huge knots in my hair from being in that bed for almost two days was also nice! Good luck!
