  1. I found that the shakes you make yourself with the powder are much better that ones ready to drink. I have tried so many diffrent ones, but am now using the whey protein powder from GNC and I like it very much.
  2. I am now 8 days post opt. My Doctor told me yesterday that I can now have thickened liquids. I know I can have protein shakes, but any suggestions for something with some actual taste?
  3. Yes, I was wondering the same thing. Why do some Drs say you can have protein at first and some not. Its really confusing to me because i dont have a NUT to help me. I am 5 days post op and feel like I am starving. I am suppose to be on the clear diet till my Dr visit Monday but dont' know if I will make it that long. I did drink some Isopure clear drink today and feel a little better.
  4. I had surgery on Monday and drove myself to work yesterday. However, I did not take any pain meds until later in the day after I was home. The pain as far as the surgery site for me was realtive none, just had alot of trouble with the gas the first two days after that is was really easy. I returned to lite work yesterday and was just fine.
  5. I had surgery on Monday and have only had water, vitamin water, broth, and green tea. Im feelng hungry and weak. Any suggestions as to something I can have on this "clear liquid" diet that may give me some protein?
  6. I am with you on this too!. Had surgery Monday and thought I was going to die. The gas pains were terrible and I keep questioning myself what I have I done! Tuesday was not much better the gas just wuold not escape and the nauseousness was still there. But, by Wed I went home and started feeling better. Hang in there you are not alone. Im now day 4 days out and its much better.
  7. Thanks, I am 42 and have struggled with being overweight since childhood. I know this will be a life changer for me but just have the usual pre-op jitters!
  8. I am having surgery on Monday4-15. I am so nervous and just keep thinking "what if something happens during surgery" and I elected to have this. Did anyone else have these worries or thought?! Please give me some encouraging words that all will be ok!
  9. I am having my surgery on Monday and now am starting to get a little nervous. My doctor really has not offered much advice, which is why I joined this site. Still not quite sure what I will be able to have as far as liquids(clear) for the week after surgery. Any suggestions? Also, am really unsure what to expect as far as pain/symptons after surgery.
