  1. Teacher here lol 2 months post op lol
  2. I have been hitting the gym hard as well two months in! I was told for better workout results to take in some complex carbs it can be mixed with protein! I was also told by a bodybuilding buddy that a regular small amount of Gatorade has great carbs that help with the workout! I have also added a portion supplement called pro7 34 grams of protein with amino and fat burner it's the best! It will give you all you need for protein daily I sometimes drink to depending in activity!! I'm loving it
  3. Yeah stay away from your scale!! It will still come off!! Remember as you become more active muscle will give you some weight and that's good weight
  4. Each day will get better have faith walk and watch you intake! I was sleeved May 21st I got home the 23rd. My biggest problem was feeling bloated and the gas pains from the surgery! They were pretty bad!! After coming home I have learned my portion sizes and liquid intake and pretty much have learned the system. These puréed foods will get boring really soon but I can't complain! Doc gave me stool softener and gas pills and they have done the job!! Keep the fight going!!
  5. Thanks macy6 I didn't think of it in that way!! I think I'll go with the sleeve then if I get out in that type of situation I can have the DS... My doc does have a good ideal then!! He calls it the staged DS. If all goes well I won't need the DS!! Thanks again
  6. I have also been thinking about the procedure the doctor recommended me and if its the right move! He has recommended the staged duodenal switch. I may be over thinking this and I know my doctor is great at what he does but I'm wondering if just getting the full switch done.. Getting the sleeve then a year in getting the DS seems rough. I do have a BMI OF 54! I am 180 pounds over weight!
  7. I know that struggle... Having to ask for a table not a booth has been very difficult especially when I'm out with my wife and kids. I pray I will be there soon!! Would love to sit in a booth again!
  8. Thanks a ton... I was looking to get ahead especially with Biotin and Protein shakes I mean if I lose some hair fine but I want to save as much as I can! And well I have a lot of muscle on me I've been told my my doc to use protein but not biotin!! Doc isn't worried about me losing weight
  9. Thanks a ton!! You will both be in my prayers all the way from Chicago.. God bless
  10. Good luck to you both. Are any of you taking any specific vitamins with your pre-op diet? I have heard that others take supplements for hair loss etc. I was told to start taking in the correct amount of protein but didn't know about the vitamins.
