What did you eat on your First day of real food?
My first real food was chili semi blended. I am 8 months out with huge successes and met my goal weight. A huge change. Very active and have done more around my house than I have for the last 8 years combined. Happy wife happy life.????

Return to normal life?
My job is pretty physical and I'm returning tomorrow. My surgery was on March 25. I think you would be fine. I'm raring to go. Enough tv, and sitting around. There are walking teams through work that start tomorrow and am planning on participating fully. Good Luck and hope you are successful with the band.

Pain meds
I stopped pain meds as soon as I got home after two days in hospital. Ot sur if this is unusual, but before surgery I had a slight addiction to a prescribed Arthritis pain killer. No meds. That's what this is about or me except life long vitamins. Off of everything. Ood luck

any march 25th sleevers
I am a hour from hospital. My follow up is tomorrow and spouse has to work. So no meds. I'm not in pain at all so don't really need any thing. But I am going to have to knock myself out some time. I hate late night tv. Thank goodness for Netflix.

any march 25th sleevers
Only problem for me is I am not sleeping well. Boredom is high. Had tomato juice today. That was a awesome experience. March 25 was my life change and I am already fitting into shirts that didn't quite fit a few weeks ago. Already planning a shopping trip.

Will you lose weight even if you've failed at every diet known to man?
We have all failed diets in the past. We have to take control of our own selves by taking the extreme action that this may seem to some. I am now 6 days post op and things are going well. You MUST reduce the size of your liver with this diet. Anyway, good luck in your decision process.

Goodbye Sugar and Hello Protein Shakes
Need to stay busy. Don't sit around dwelling on the food you are not eating. If you cheat; you prolong the agony. We have all done this and you can too. Best of Life to you.

Grumpy
I am on my last day of the two week liquid with surgery tomorrow. I was hungry but drank lots of liquid. I didn't cheat once. A little impatient but after a couple days I was able to handle it. If I can do this, so can you. Plus people notice the weight loss. Stay positive and active. If you rest too much you think about food. Good luck

about to start pre-op diet (3/27)
I am on my 2nd to last day of liquid only. The first few days is tough but it gets better and you get use to it. The biggest savior or me was very hot chicken broth and I put fresh ground pepper in it at dinner. It was a quick two weeks for me. Stay busy and exercise. Not sure how much I lost but it is almost a pant size. Good Luck. Don't forget we are all doing this and you can too.

any march 25th sleevers
Just got back from my blood type and cross match and given my band for surgery Monday. Ready to go! GOOD LUCK TO ALL March 25'ers. Did anyone get lifting restrictions yet. Just trying to predict my time off work.

any march 25th sleevers
My band is given to me when they cross match my blood this Saturday. I have been warned to not forget it so I guess I don't have to wear it. For me, the headache is trying to make certain all aspects of my job are covered for two weeks. Too busy to worry about the surgery. March 25 is coming fast.

Preop Diet...
Clear liquid? I'm on my diet and after 5 days am good. Are you drinking protein or meal replacements? My op is March 25. Just focus on the outcome and imagine your self thin. Just like the caterpillar that comes out a butterfly. We have a brand new start in our life. Hang in there everyone else can do it.

Day 6 Pre Op...March 19 sleeve date!
I'm envious......I am ending day 1 of my pre op diet. Do you know how many food commerials are on tv? No wonder our society is over weight. Anyway. Struggling through it. Happy to be at this point too. March 25 is my day.

any march 25th sleevers
I just picked up my protein and meal replacements. Start pre op diet for my 25th March surgery. I am more worried about this than the surgery. I will be thankful that the surgery will be here soon. I have huge support from work. They are even having a protein drink day in honor of my diet. Many are also starting to walk with me at lunch. Also huge support from my wife and teenage son, friends, family. I'm in Wisconsin. It would help mental attitude if there was sunshine though. Again...cloudy and rain. Better than snow I guess.
