  2. way to go... i am sure my loss will be slow also.. the reason i say that is even now (before surgery) when i dieted i didn't loose fast .. but slow and steady wins the race!

  10. what is an Easter challenge please?
  11. Thank you, I keep thinking jealousy is possibly the thing here too, but why? She's done most of hers on her own. She's seen me struggle FOR 7 YEARS! What's there to be jealous of? Sheesh, I just don't get it! why you ask... she is afraid that you will succeed and surpass her on this weight loss journey.. as long as you keep struggling and supporting her while she is loosing, she will be happy but the relationship will change and she knows it .. you will surpass her and that is what she is afraid of. Just a thought .. just saying.
  12. i am scheduled for the sleeve on March 12th, i started at 224 and i was told i can expect to get to 175. I thought the same thing .. i don't want to g through this to only get down to 175 i realize it is nearly 50 pounds but it was a disappointment to me... I had to remind myself that i was doing this mostly for the health issues and any weight loss is a benefit. I can't see if i keep doing what i should do why i wouldn't take off some more weight.. so i am shooting for 150. I hope i am not fooling myself. Good luck Adoptmom!
  13. ok.. i have not had surgery but i was at the last support group and someone asked about traveling.. what they were told is you can't fly for a certain amount of time afterwards because of the possibility of blood clots forming after surgery.. please check with your doctor before making plans... you may feel good enough to go on the trip but it might not be wise because of the clotting factor.. stay safe! Best of luck to you!
  14. i am so glad we can share our hopes and our fears, the good and the bad, it would be nice if all of us march sleevers can keep this post going because we all will need prayers. Not only that but we can keep each other up to date on our progress. May God bless each of us and keep us safe as we go through this journey.
  15. i haven't had surgery yet.. scheduled on the 12 of march.. Just saw my doctor yesterday and i asked about the heartburn because i already have it and have been taking nexium everyday for a few years. He said that we need to be careful because with the sleeve a lot of ppl get heartburn. what he had told me was if it gets to bad that they suggest having bypass surgery. I am certainly not hoping to have to do that. Not that great of news i suppose but it is what i was prewarned. Just wanted to pass that information on. I would suggest ridding it out for as long as you can to see if it changes with time.
