  1. Starting weight 314. Surgery day (April 30, 2013) weight 307. Weight today 236. Down 78 lbs. I consider myself a slow loser as I'm 51 years old. When people ask me what my goal wight is, I like to say "My original weight.....8 lbs 7 oz" : ) I couldn't be any happier with my progress! So proud of everyone. Don't get down if you think you're not losing as fast as others. We're all different! Sent from my iPad using VST
  2. Sleeved 4/30. Starting weight prior to 2 week liquid diet was 312 lbs. Day of surgery 307 lbs. today at 272 lbs. 40 lbs in 49 days. I consider this slow, but if it means less loose skin, I'm fine with it. Congrats everyone!!
  3. Sleeved 4/30/13 Pre liquid diet weight: 314 Surgery date weight: 307 Today's weight: 272 I'm right at losing a pound a day, but I expect that to slow down a little, as exercising also builds muscle. Nothing to report, except those that are prescribed omeprozole or the like? Take it..it helps! Good luck to all.
  4. I am 5 weeks post op and for the first time today, I got that deep empty hollow feeling. Thought it was hunger, but feel worse now that I ate a few bites. I wish I could figure out what all these new feelings are : )

    I am worried

I was sleeved 11 days ago and for me it was just breaking the HABIT of eating. I was eating the wrong things for so long, that it's almost like quitting cold turkey. Work is the hardest for me as I used to snack all day at my desk. Keeping busy helps, and it will get easier. Good luck, and don't be too hard on yourself. All I do when the urge strikes, it to look at my before picture. Stay strong!! : ) Sent from my iPad using VST

  7. I was sleeved on 4/30/13 (a Tuesday) and went back the following Monday. I have a desk job, but I got up SEVERAL times to hit the breakroom for more water! Only real drawback was the liquid meds made me really sleepy. Good luck!! Sent from my iPad using VST
  8. I am only 8 days post op. brought yogurt for breakfast and a shake for lunch. Ate the yogurt w/half a mashed up banana, then ate the other half banana why am I not full??? This cant be right. Worried I'm going to break out the shake before lunchtime : ( should I just keep drinking water?? Not sure what full feels like yet. Any help?
  9. Thank you all so much! I have to get over the thought that I'm a better judge than the dr's on what I should/can be eating. I'm calling a do-over.....starting right now!!
  10. They didn't tell me the size of the bougie. It was about 30 minutes before finishing the banana. Yogurt was about 4 oz.

    Dr Hoehn in KS

Dr Hoehn did my sleeve last tuesday. I couldn't be happier. I'm 6 days post op and was back at work today. Hamilton did my EGD a few months ago and I'm sure I'll see Tim for for my follow up on Wednesday. I would highly recommend the facility to anyone. Wonderful staff. Oh, and down 19 lbs from the start of the grueling two week liquid diet. Great thing...for some reason because of this whole process, I now love water!!

    The best way to sleep

Day 2 for me. Left the hospital feeling great. Got home, and not so much. Can't lay horizontal unless my husband is here to pull me into a sitting position. Looks like it's going to be the recliner for me!! Sent from my iPad using VST
