  1. I want to get into boxing after surgery... how was it going back after a month? No problems at all with movement?
  2. I was there a year ago, best choice I made was walking away. I haven't been sleeved yet, but some how I started taking care of myself for ME and not anyone else. MY self esteem and confidence is sky high. I walk around not worrying about what people think about me. If he wasn't there before and clearly isn't there now.... why stay at all?
  3. Congrats on making the sleeve choice!! It is a very long and exciting process. For most the time drags on, but for myself it went by extremely fast. There are days where I get scared and doubt myself, which are completely normal. I is nice to come on here and read other post of people in the same situations. I would def check out the support groups, most have facebook pages. I am connected with a bunch of girls on facebook and it is very motivating! Good luck with your process!
  4. Hello everyone.. Pre op here... I am 5'2 We are all fun sized
  5. I'm the same... I love sex now.. wonder what it will be like after surgery
  6. I have Aetna... It really all depends on what type of insurance you have. For me it has been a bit tricky. I had to swtich Dr.s to find an in-network Dr... 3 months with a nutionist, 1 EGD, and 1 psych exam. Many people have to get other testing done... but so far this is all I've had to do. Biggest thing... the hardest thing to do is to wait...Good luck.
  7. I am preop... 5'2ish lol... 255. I know for me... Carbs are my problem, and I was an emotional eater as well. I noticed when I was having a very stressful day all I wanted was junk food and luckily caught myself. It was hard at first but I repeatedly tell myself to do better and I can do it. If I eat to many carbs, my weight goes up and if I hardly eat any carbs, my weight goes down.
  8. I am may 3 as well!! So exciting
  9. I am still preop... but I drink Aloe Vera juice all the time!! I think its awesome.. a bit different but helps with heartburn also!!
  10. You can def see the difference!! Great job! I was going to say if you need to see other bras and undies I would add some too!! LOL Bra and undies thread haha jk
  11. I am coming into this late.... But this is one of the exact reason why I am single. My ex started with the attitude, moved to the verbal abuse, and kept getting worse. May not be your case... but you shouldn't be treated or talked to that way. Your his wife... you should be treated like a queen
  12. LOL... yes I thought I was going to be awake as well... I kept asking my dr. are you sure I will be asleep... BOOM knocked out.
  13. Beautiful!!! Congrats
  14. I was so nervous and work myself up for nothing... you get an iv, knocked out, an hr later your awake, and soon outta there!! No worries... I literally stressed out for nothing.
  15. Welcome Jersey girl!! The site is very helpful and most questions you will have, probably have been asked and answered just browse!! Where in Jersey?
  16. Im from Philly getting sleeved in May. Where are you getting sleeved?
  17. I live in Philly PA, having surgery in Edison NJ
  18. Although I am half Puerto Rican, I do not understand or speak spanish... Wish I did though
  19. I work in Trenton as well, live in Langhorne. I have been nervous so much, but when I walked in there and had my first appointment I felt like they already knew me. I was going to have the female surgeon originally. But my daughters gmom had the bypass there... EXCELLENT!! No worries at all. I just wish I could of had my surgery there.
  20. Barix clinic is EXCELLENT! I was originally going to have my surgery there but had to find an in network dr with my insurance. You will def feel welcomed and safe here.
  21. I have lost 10lbs so far on my own, but I know the doctors want us to lose some weight to shrink our organs before we go into surgery. << Another reason why we go on the 2 week diet. Plus once you start losing a few on your own.. It makes you feel great, and makes you start eating healthy so your not struggling after surgery.
