Christie's lap band
Who knows why he picked that? We are not privy to his medical history nor should we be. I wish him well. I have enough faith in my MD and in my decisions not to feel I need to put a neg spin on someone else's decision when it differs from my own couse of action. Even if he is a blowhard politician.

Best peanut butter?
I like the Jif natural as it has no trans fats which many Peanut butters have.

do you still use a cpap ?
I have never used an auto cpap myself. I think it's great you've lowered your pressures and know you're pushing to get off it it all together. I don't mind my cpap as I feel better with it than without it but I'd love not to have the marks on my face or the occasional rollover that kinks the hose and about torques my nose off my face.

Durham, North Carolina?
I had my pre op visit today with Dr. Yoo and his team and then at the hospital for the usual tests. 3 weeks from yesterday. A little nervous, more excited than anything. Have lost a few pounds just with the tips they gave me and now it's the homestretch to shrink that liver a little.

Need help from men that have been sleeved
As long as you don't submerge your incisions you might try sitting in a shallow warm bath. My uro recommended that for me and it helped.

for the older age sleeve gents
I would advise the urologist as well. There are lots of possible causes and lots of treatments but you need a specialist to sort it out. My last gp always blew off my complaints but my new gp had me go see the urologist. A few tests later I was getting the right rx and my fears were relieved. The worst diagnosis is no diagnosis because you end constantly worying about what it might be. Thats my advice, that and find a uro with skinny fingers.

do you still use a cpap ?
I was wondering what experience those who used a cpap pre-sleeve have had post operatively in respect to cpap use. Do you still need it or were you able to sleep well without it? I use a cpap now, am waiting on ins approval.

Durham, North Carolina?
I am in Raleigh. I am waiting on insurance approval and then my work schedule to lighten. I am hoping by May. I am planning on vsg by Dr. Yoo at Duke. I have not been real good about pre op diet because it seems so unreal not knowing when it will be. Also, i never was real good at dieting, hence the need for the vsg. Would love to have a mentor, hope in a year i can be one.

Golf-swing changes
I have not had my surgery yet but have played since I was young . I think if you start with the fundamentals such as grip, stance, posture and tempo you will learn to swing well with your new and still changing body. Taking a few lessons would be great too as you can have some guidance on what you specifically should be working on during your range sessions. Ii think the biggest istake most make is not practicing with a purpose. I hope you enjoy your golf more in your new bod. BC

Does walking get easier after the sleeve?
I am likely getting a sleeve once I jump through enough hoops. I can't walk very much or my leg hurts. Has anyone found that now they have much less knee and leg pain and can walk without pain now?
