  4. I was six weeks out on Monday. Awesome job! I have a foot thing too, and went to the podiatrist and finally sucked it up and spent some $$ on orthotics and they changed my life. I'm able to walk now without pain... I can't wear flip flops (pooey) or really cute flat shoes, but being able to walk everyday is really helping my weight come off. I find that if I'm walking every day the scale moves a lot faster. You go girl!

  6. I am finishing my full liquid week today. Try Campbell's soups. I have used my immersion blender with the cream of mushroom. They also have some squash bisque a that are good. Tomato soup blended with no clumps is good as well. U am excited about puréeds though. Just drink your protein shakes!!

  10. I feel so bad for you! I can't believe they kept you on full liquids for that length of time. That's kind of mean I think. You might call your doctor and see what they say about you having one meal so you can get it out of your system and then back on full liquids since you still have 15 days before your surgery...
  11. I'm nervous too... but if I wasn't then I wouldn't be taking it serious enough right??? We're going to do great! I'm in Dallas and will be right there with you a week from now!
  12. This is a great list! Thank you so much. I did take a before pic this morning (I started my pre-op liquid diet today for my surgery next Monday) but because I read this I have done all my measurements to add so that I can track more than just weight goals.
  13. Well, I'll look for you, because I have mine the same day at the same hospital. I started my liquid pre-op diet today. Good luck to us!!!!

  15. Hi there! Have you thought about soups? You could do a tomato basil soup in your blender... and then add egg whites to it if you need to have the protein, but it sounds like you're getting that in your shakes. This is a WEight Watchers Tomato/Basil soup recipe I have...2 cans of diced italian tomatoes, 1 8 oz light cream cheese, 1/4 cup parmesan cheese, 6 basil leaves. Put it all in a blender and make it smooth and then pour it in a pot and heat it up until all the cheese melts. It's a good one. Good luck!!!
  16. March 4 is my date... I'm saying "goodbye" to my favorites this weekend and I start my liquid diet on Monday. I've already created a menu so I don't have to think so hard about it and can just get done what I'm making... I'm also preparing some soups and things that I can freeze in very small containers for week 2 post-surgery after I'm off clear liquids... I figure the less I have to think the easier it will be for me and my family. I go back and forth between very excited and very nervous.
  17. I wasn't happy with myself and hadn't been for a long long time. My husband gave me an ultimatum...he told me I could do one of two things and he would fully support me either way... 1. I could accept myself as I was... no more diets, no more eating plans...love myself as is. or 2. Pick something and do it...no holds barred, whatever it cost. I knew I wouldn't be happy the way I was and I knew that it was affecting our marriage and the rest of my life as well. It was time to get healthy.
