I am really struggling in my weight loss. I had the Gastric Sleeve done March 18, 2013, I went from 269 to 191. From 191 I have gained 29 lbs. When I am not eating I am thinking about eating. I am very discouraged and really could use some thoughts and ideals to get back on track and stay that way.

I am in! I will go to the gym 4 times a week, I will use the weight machines and I will bike and walk. Thanks for the challenge!

Clothes, clothes and clothes! I like to buy something new that shows off the weight I have loss, not to say the clothes I was wearing before surgery is falling off me! I had surgery on March 18, 2013 and I have lost 60 lbs!

At one point I even gained a couple of pounds, but the next week they were gone along with a couple more pounds!

My sleeve was 3/18, I have lost 51 lbs and a total of 25.5 inches. I am having a little trouble getting in water and protein, but most days I do okay. I am afraid of loosing my hair, (even though that would not be the worst thing that could happen) I try to be aware of my protein grams. Water I get about 32 ounces a day, trying to intake more everyday. Some days I miss eating like I use to, but then I remember why I did this to begin with. I have not had to take an insulin shot since about 5 days after surgery and my sugar numbers continue to stay in normal range. I have more energy and go to the gym 3 to 4 days a week. All in all I would do the surgery again! Glad to see most are doing good.

I agree, I searched until I found a surgeon with an excellent reputation in VSG before I committed.

Hi Amanda, we had our surgery the same day. How are you doing? I am still pretty sore and dealing with trapped gas, but doing ok.

So sorry Melinda1, hope you are able to try this again. Are they going to send you to see a cardiologist? My sleeve went well so far. I am tender and sore but doing what I have to do. Walk, walk, walk~

I had my surgery on March 18th also. How are you feeling? I am pretty sore and full of trapped gas, but I am ok!

I am very excited with a lot of other emotions. I can't wait to get beyond the surgery and get healthy!

I was not told a pre-op weight, but I am on the 5 protein shakes a day diet not so bad I can eat a vegetable snack one time a day. Only 5 days to go!

We have the same surgery day! I am so excited but also very nervous. Some of my family does not understand why I would do the sleeve and not the band. They think the sleeve is to invasive and I should opt for the band instead. From the first seminar I knew I wanted to have the sleeve. I am diabetic and take 4 insulin shots a day, I check my blood sugar 4 times a day as well. I also have COPD and Rheumatoid Arthritis and like others I am tired of being sick! I feel the sleeve is the best fit for me and my lifestyle. I am nervous, but I am so excited to have this done.

I am new to the community. I am having Gastric Sleeve on 3/18/2013. I am very excited, nervous and anxious all at once. I am looking forward to reading stories and getting to know everyone.
