  1. I also find this site to have very strong cliques. I understand people form bonds but in many threads its the "bonded" ones that come across very strongly and tend to drown others out. Now that I am post op I tend to read occasionally but don't post often.
  2. I don't like to eat as soon as I get up. I prefer to take something to work w me and eat after an hour or so. I need some high Protein suggestions. No shakes! I've been doing a lot of deli meat and cheese but need a change. Suggestions??

No problems w shrimp. My new favorite is imitation crab meat. Very dense
  4. They are still doing leak tests post op? Mt doctor didn't and I know dr Nicholson doesn't. I couldn't have handled that. Mine was while I was under
  5. Are the Kirkland calcium citrate?
  6. So many speculate. I had the same thing. Eventually went away and it wasn't an allergic reaction to anything. I think it is associated w the rapid weight loss. Funny that it happens to so many people and yet the doctors haven't connected the dots.
  7. We are on the same pace! I broke it this weekend too! Congrats
  8. Wimps! It's 93 and not even noon yet in TX! Lol
  9. I don't think this is routine to check for drugs. If so they would probably have to disclose it. Sounds like its just this surgeon
  10. I take flintstones. I also take a probiotic gummy. Worked for me and found both at Costco
  11. Are they whey isolate?
  12. I never thought of crab meat. Love these ideas!
  13. Take a look at the band to sleeve revision. Seems like there are more issues w the band and most people end up with a revision
  14. I'm five weeks out and have had periodic yucky days.
  15. What you experienced is the American healthcare system. You can probably find something OTC that works. I take nexium 40mg but my insurance covers it.
  16. Also my NUT wants to move me away from the soft forms of protein because I won't stay full as long. I finally got used to yogurt and now I'm cutting back!
  17. Does it help the makeup last longer?
  18. I'm six weeks out on Thursday. I'm cleared for all foods. My NUT wants me to get away from protein shakes sooner than later. I do lots of chicken and fish. I've also had beef and buffalo (yummy!). Haven't had any real problems. It's just about portion control. After protein I only eat veggies. My snacks are cheese and deli meat. Getting about 70grams of protein a day.
  19. ^^good luck. Benadryl didn't help me at all. After two days I had to get a script!
  20. My doc said it wasn't related to surgery but I believe it was my body ridding me of toxins after that initial rapid loss
