Today marks one week post op I am having ups and downs emotionally. Tomorrow is my post op appt. is it normal to still be..... Emotional and Tired? So many people are doing great but I have a slight fever and I am having such a hard time keeping hydrated. My urine is dark Does this mean I'm dehydrated? Or is this normal after surgery? Feeling so down

Congrats! I'm 6 days out! The gas is freakin unbelievable! I've been trying to walk too. Actually I've been walking a lot but I've also been sporting a fever it hit 101.2 today so I'm waiting for my doc to call me back. We will get through the ups and downs!

I discovered the ISOPURE drinks today! I wish I knew about them sooner they are great!

I have the same problem. Today my hubby bought me ISOPURE and I think I found something I can drink. It tastes like koolaid and it has 40 grams of protein

I'm 6 days out and I feel that way! I have been very emotional as well. I don't want to eat or drink. I have been taking walks but today I think I over walked cause I was I tears

Thanks! I might just be a bit paranoid. The last surgery I had (c-section) I developed a bad infection and ended up in the hospital for about 3 weeks. Every little bit of twitch I feel like I'm freaking out. Thanks!!

Hi everyone! I am now 4 days post op and I was feeling great, but earlier today I started feeling pressure on my right side a little below my boob. It's not painful but it is uncomfortable. Anyone else feel this? I have my post op appt next Tuesday. Hopefully it'll be gone by then. Thanks in advance!

I'm trying to drink Water but every time I take a sip this weird feeling goes down my chest and into the stomach it kinda hurts...like really bad gas Am I taking to much water in at once? Is it normal to feel that strange feeling? I want to stay hydrated Thanks in advance! I just want to make sure it's normal. I am 3 days post op

Thanks everyone! I feel guilty just laying around the house doing nothing. Kids and husband have been very helpful but I wish I can just fast forward to when I feel better lol I have to remind myself I just had the surgery on Monday! And I will feel better!

I had my surgery this past Monday. It was so painful but finally got it under control I came home yesterday. I felt ok. This morning I feel so much pain! The pain pump at the hospital was so much help. Vicodin doesn't seem to be helping much. Did others feel this way after the surgery and getting home? How did you over come the pain?? Thanks in advance everyone!

I'm feeling good and very very sore! I just got home about 2 hours ago and I went straight to bed. The pain pump at the hospital made such a huge difference too bad I can't bring that home lol I am officially in phase 2 soft foods so tonight I will be eating a Gerber baby food chicken flavor.

Monday is the big day!! I am nervous And excited! I am also very weak and nauseous from not eating. I have been drinking my shakes. I had broth today and Jello as well. But I feel so nauseous and I think it's from not eating food. Plus a have a horrible tension headache that started when I started the liquid fast. Did anyone else feel queazy and weak during the liquid fast?

My doctor is Dr.Chand. I began in February had tests done and all meetings with docs, physiologist, nutritionalist, then after all that my Blue cross denied me. I was so disappointed and then I Asked my primary doctor to help me appeal their decision which she did. I barely got my approval letter on Saturday!!! I was amazed and in awe! So immediately called the doctors office this morning and they told me they have an opening next Monday for the surgery!!!! It happened so fast! I went from thinking it wasn't going to happen to scheduling my pre-op and fasting immediately all in one day! Are you going with Loyola as well?

Ok so in February I decided to get sleeved so I wet to the doc had all the tests and in the end my insurance denied me the surgery. So I asked my primary doc to write an appeal letter for me and she did. I got the approval letter on Saturday!!! Today the surgery center called and they said they have a spot open next monday!! So I went from feeling so depressed thinking I wasn't going to get this surgery to WOW!!! Next Monday is the day!!! My prayers have been answered! I'm so excited!

Gina you are in my prayers for tomorrow's surgery! Please keep us posted on how you are doing. I called and asked for Katie and I finally got my sleep study results! Thank you for the advice! Now they are gonna submit to my insurance. I pray I get approved! Again many many prayers for a smooth surgery for you!
