  2. Cool! I haven't worn heels in YEARS!!!! I was only able to wear Birks for years due to wide swollen feet. I have graduated to tennies & other flat shoes since my surgery. I was thinking the other night about trying some pumps for Easter. You go girl!!!! I'm impressed!!
  3. Nice to meet you! Welcome to Band Land! I was self-pay too & it was totally worth it! Congrats on the 20 lbs.!

  7. WOW! Great recipes! I want to give you my sister-in-law's recipe. We fight over this at all the family functions & it's so easy to make! I eat it with a spoon! :hungry: Carol's Salsa 4-5 cans of diced tomatoes (drained or undrained - your choice) 1 can of tomato sauce 1 bunch of cilantro chopped 1-2 tablespoons of diced garlic in the jar (use to your taste) juice of 1 lemon or 1 lime (or half of both) 1 medium onion diced 2 jalapenos diced if you like it hot salt to taste Mix all ingredients together & serve with tortilla chips. Refrigerate after mixing together. This is better after it sits over night.
  8. WOW!!! You look wonderful! Happy Bandiversary!!
  9. Okay! I think I may have figured it out with help from a friend. I became really upset a couple of weeks ago. Afterwards my band really clamped down. I couldn't even swallow liquids for a few hours. My friend says this is common for a lot of bandsters. So it's possible that my band clamping down has caused some irritation. So it is warm liquids & mush in moderation for me for a couple of days! I hope this crap goes away!!!!!! Thanks Becky!!
  10. Cool! He was complaining because he didn't have time to order more, so I thought this would be a nice suprise for him. Thanks!
  11. sugar free gum, sugar free pudding, sugar free popcicles If all of that fails, I have a little of what I am craving. Since I can't eat much now, just a few bites are all I need & my craving is satisfied.
  12. I ordered some business cards for my Dad today. I found this site that has free business cards. You get 250. & they actually have designs to choose from. You do have to pay shipping, which is like $6.99. If anyone is interested, I will let you know how they turn out. They will be here in 2-3 weeks. The site is - vistaprint.com
  13. So sorry Vera! My thoughts & prayers are with you & your family.
  14. I have just noticed, in the past couple of weeks, that my throat feels really weird & sometimes it is downright uncomfortable. The only way I can explain the feeling is that it's like the tightness I get when I am really holding back the tears. I haven't PB'd in many months & I am swallowing fine. I'm also chewing to goo. I just don't know. Weird. Does anyone else or has anyone else experienced this? & if so, what the heck is it? I put myself on warm liquids today to see if it helps.
