  1. I was on clear liquids until I left the hospital which was one day. Then 2 weeks of liquids and now I am on pureed stage. That will go for two weeks and then two weeks of soft foods. Not sure why the difference. Maybe it is how they were trained
  2. My hurt real bad but it lasted only a few seconds.
  3. I ordered pure protein from amazon. Each 12 oz can has 35 grams of protein and only a few carbs. I think they taste good.
  4. I had surgery on the 30th of January and have a rash on the back of my hands that developed a few days ago. At first I thought it was dry skin but now it looks like an allergic reaction to something. I feel it may be the nexium. Anybody else have the same issue? What was the cause?
  5. Woke up the last two nights with the worst dry mouth ever. No signs of dehydration. Anyone else experience this and anything relieve or stop it?
  6. You used to be able to buy the kool aid powder and had to add the sugar so you may be able to get the flavor packets without the sugar and use them to flavor the yogurt.
  7. My surgeon told me I could have the regular jello and that the sugar free was for gastric bypass patients. I have been eating the sugar free stuff anyway.
  8. No problem. Let me know how you make out. I am still looking for pureed recipes that look good to me. Have found a few that I will have to try.
  9. I dont know. I just dont enjoy the pureed stuff. It is difficult to think of things to eat. I am also afraid of not being able to tolerate something or to eat too much or too quickly. With liquids it seems to be pretty easy and I dont have to put much thought into it. I know what to do and what I can have. I am sure it will get better. Just how I am feeling in the beginning of the pureed stage.
  10. I was two weeks on liquids and now two weeks on pureed food. I think I liked the liquids better. : (
  11. I did read somewhere that people add kool aid to it to flavor it. Without the sugar I am assuming.
  12. Not sure if it is just in the beginning or what but my Doc told me to avoid Greek yogurt. I wonder why
  13. I chose the sleeve for a few reasons. It is less risky and the chance of death is about half that of the bypass. There are much less long term complications that can occur with the sleeve than with the bypass. The whole malabsorbtion issue mentioned by others. With the sleeve you are supposed to be able to eat all foods in moderation. With the bypass if you eat certain foods you will get very sick.
  14. I am 4 days into the pureed stage. Will I ever enjoy eating again? It does not feel like it.
  15. I was really looking for people to tell me what they experience with a food that they cannot tolerate. Vomiting? The runs? What?

  21. My wife works at Chipotle. I was thinking of having her bring me a little of the chicken and mild salsa and throwing that in the food processor. That should be good right?
