My surgery was February 19th. Did get a small leak and then needed to have my esophagus dilated. So things have not been easy for sure. I AM 7 MONTHS FRON MY SURGERY AND TODAY I HIT TOTAL LOSS OF 125lbs. I think that is great considering I am 54 years old. Even though I have spent many days at hospitals and doctors I would do it all again.

My NUT said that I should avoid lettuce for 9 months to a year. She said treat your stomach like a babies stomach. So three months out your stomach would be like a three month olds.

3 weeks and counting.

I love my sleeve. Surgery date 2/19/13. 100 lbs gone forever. Had to share.

Remember without my drain we would have probably not Known about my leak so early and things could've been much more worse than they already were. So even though the drain was uncomfortable it served a great purpose for me

I had a train and then they discovered my leak Because of the it. Thank goodness. Had it removed one month out. I am four months out now.

I am four months out and was dilated two weeks ago. Since my surgery I have suffered with a lump in my throat which turns out to be my stomach is too tight the food is not processing down Easily to my stomach. Since the two weeks each day the lump has gotten less and less and food is processing easier. Interestingly I was down to only eating 200 to 300 cal a day because of the lump and since dilated I've been able to get my intake to 600 to 800 cal a day and in two weeks I lost 15 pounds. So I would say dilation works well because it proves to me that if I didn't get my calorie intake my weight loss was going to be too little Or slower. And the dilation was not painful and I didn't feel anything and it was very easy I go for it

DOS. 2/19/13 Weigh: 370 Weigh today: 281 Happy with results so far. Long way to go but we over 300 can get there also.

Surgery 2/19 down 93 lbs.

Sleeve on the 19th of Feb. just home from my three checkup. Down 54 lbs between pre and post. Starting puréed.

Surgery on 19 February just went for my three week check up down 54 pounds between my preop diet and the surgery I get to start puréed tonight. Hope it goes well little nervous.

I am an open book. I wrote a really great email and sent it out to all of family and friends Prior to my surgery. I explained the research I did the type of surgery and that if you had any negative comments I didn't want to hear it I only want people who are going to support me in this journey. I had an amazing response to it with lots of love and support. I could not imagine keeping this a secret from family and friends I think that would just make it more difficult on me in accomplishing my goals. I don't know if this is accurate or not but too a certain extent our family and friends assisted in us being obese and they need to know this is our new lifestyle. But every body is different and there is no right and wrong this is just right for me.

Well I had my one week check up for my leak yesterday at the hospital. Had to have a CAT scan and gi series then went over to the surgical center to speak with them for the results. It shows the leak is much improved from my scans last week. I am still on all liquid diet. My goal at this point is to get 60 g of protein in per day. Since my preop diet and my sleeve on February 19 as of yesterday I am down 50.4 pounds. Seems like I'm heading in the right direction finally. Their surgeon did remove my drain tube to finally yesterday which is great relief not to have that. Hoping I get on track with all the other February sleevers soon. Thanks for your support everyone
