  2. i found this young man story inspiring i would love to watch him again since i have had surgery, can't recall his name. plmk if you have any info
  3. $780.00, i have a bcbs policy
  4. @ new i guess i am alittle bothered that i can't get to see the dr. and i have to arbitrarily subject my self to further radiation diagnosed by some one with out a medical degree, because they failed to treat me the first time, and my symptoms have not changed. i saw my primary monday. you don't want to know what she said.
  5. @new me sorry if i was not clear. 1st check up was dec 1. i told the pa my problems. she sent me for a test. no improvement. i called said i want to see dr car. i believe to be punitive they said they would call me for and appt. i have called 3x since then unable to get through the rabid front desk. until today.but they told me they really dont want to see me until i have the test again. honestly i would never have called again, but one of the post i read said never alienate the surgeon in case you need another surgery.
  6. @pammie37 i have had pain since the surg. upper left. i slime all the time(hyper salivation) with WATER! i gurgle all the time, very embarrassing at work, i wad the test for stricture and it said "slow emptying" the PA said i was fine and implied i was "over-reacting", at that point i demonstrated drinking water, so she could see my problem, she left the room and sent in some underling to tell me i was done, i tried to make an apt. with dr car. and the said they would call me. that was dec 1st. yesterday i called them, they said they don't want to see me until i have another test. finally they gave me an apt with Michelle....Once they get your money forget it
  7. dr, caruana did my sleeve 11/26/12, not doing well friggin hate his staff, unable to see him, i can only get appt with michelle. soo not happy
  8. the american heart association says girth under 35 inches means you have a better chance of survival, so i think i will go with that for a goal but but i will be very happy with any size that dosn't start with an X.
  9. @jjoyce i do know they are completely different in origin, but i have seen them many times in the ER and by they they have been "picked" and they go MRSA fast. good luck
  10. yikes i hate to hear this stuff, please seek medical help with a board cert dermo. almost all boils go mrsa these days nothing to mess with, the drug they inject for swelling in solu-cortef, and or solumedrol. yes they work but the infection stays longer and is harder to treat. washing with hibeclens does help, you cant use it on your face or privates. good luck
  11. @Tstorm1070 it is made by Fusion they make a ton of bariatric products. it is gross, never really dissolves sickening sweet and very expensive, i did have a nice small liver, so it did the job. but i would never do it again, i lost 25lbs in 10 days. felt like hell going into surgery. good luck. Ben Franklin said, "fart proudly"
  12. @Tstorm1070 do you have an option to use silk, or almond milk did you ever have lactose intolerance before? i was on Fusion liquid cat litter and had flying green diarrhea, good luck and hang in there
  13. hi i am katie 58 years old, from western ny. starting weight 275ish 9 weeks sleeved, nov 26, now 240. not feeling right yet, slimming, gurgling, constipated. my neck looks terrible. down 2 pants sizes. and i hate my surgeon's office, doubt i am going back. more importantly i no longer have sleep apnea, and the arthritis in my knees is much improved. i love this web site,i have learned alot, and found alot of encouragement. love to see updated
  14. hi A.E. thanks for the info, if you dont mind where are the neck scars, and how long were you down? thanks for sharing
  15. hi gina i am 58 sleeved nov. 2012, i had to back up and go on clears 3x, and compared to alot of women on this site. i am a slow looser. crying is relative, are you a crier? are you in pain? its just alittle salt water. my gram always said,"the more you cry the less you pee". find some little thing you can do, get some rest, treat your headache, hold your husbands hand and tell him a joke. and tonight when you say your prayers, say a prayer to the Holy Spirit for courage to get through this....gee i think i will go and take some of my own advice....be good to yourself, we care
  16. i think i am going to need a neck lift i would like to know if anyone has had one and the details
  17. have you noticed that we talk about food like it was and old lover?
  18. hot prune juice (like hot coffee) if that doesn't work, all of the above, good luck
  19. @atelux17, boy you sound just like me. my only modest suggestion is smaller bites, chew well, until it gets boring, and rest between bites, basically all your food will be cold..... tuna and eggs are about the only protein that stays down if i am very careful. i had the swallow test, and they said i was "slow emptying" causing my left sided pain. who know???? re: regurg, do you take protonix? take care
  20. i have been n acute care nurse (blood guts and puke nurse) for 30 years, there is something very wrong about this. did you have a Ct-scan or an MRI?. you absolutely need to know if you had an infarct for your own safety. you might consider signing a release and getting all you records and test results, "just in case" it might also be helpful to find out if they cultured to "pus" and what it was. good luck, any changes seek medical care asap, please
  21. we did not get in this position with out a bad history with food, guilt and the scale. now we have 2 secret weapons, each other, and vs. i am not doing well in any area, i slime, i am always hungry, i have terrible fatigue, i burpe and gag and gurgle all the time. i am not happy. i will never give up, find your resolve, i have one good thing to report i no longer have sleep apnea. never, never, never give up, good health is the goal.
  22. i wish i new this was an option. i was on fusion, it tasted like liquid cat litter
  23. had vs nov. 26, i don't have anything good to say yet.
  24. question for experienced sleever, i don't want to back to my Dr. i am 8 weeks post op. i hate the front desk, you have to leave a message, and they return your calls tuesdays and thursdays between 9am and 11am, no way can you talk to a human. my regular Dr. is very supportive, do you think it would be safe to not go back to my surgeon?
  25. i can see why u r angry. i can't help think it might be motivated my "fee generation". you have come so far i hope you stick it out.
