  1. I had something similar. I had some grilling beans by Bush beans. It gave me so much gas that it ripped through my stomach and bowels causing extreme diarrhea and vomiting.

  3. Two weeks post surgery: Lots of cottage cheese Yogurt SF Frozen pops Frozen yogurt pops with added vanilla Protein nectar protein Spiruteun protein with almond milk Jello Soups Propel SF waters Sobe zero drinks
  4. Lost 23 lbs post surgery on optifast. After surgery I gained 5 lbs which I think was water weight. Loss 2 lbs since surgery at two weeks out. Not discouraged yet but want to make sure I an doing the right things. Extremely tired, trips to store wipe me out enough for a short nap. Getting in all protein and water. Wish I could see more loss at this juncture. Concerned about energy level.

  6. Depends on your pre op diet. I was on optifast and never felt hungry so it was fairly easy to go the distance. Be careful not to start so early that you can't stick to it. Determination is key. Good luck.
  7. Thanks for the good wishes. I've lost 12lbs on pre op diet of Optifast. Haven't been hungry at all. It's a lot of protein. It puts your body into ketosis really fast then you drop all the water weight and start burning fat.

  10. Will finish preop diet tomorrow. Sunday clear liquids then hopefully I can get some sleep before my 6:00 am chech in. Super excited. Scared about the pain. Glad to be finally here after 6 months of dr visits and classes. God speed to all of us ha vying surgery this upcoming week.

  12. Day 5 of low carb pre op of optifast 6 times per day. Wondering what types of food allowed if not on optifast?

  15. One more for June 17. Pre op testing tomorrow. Started pre surgical diet of Optifast. Not terrible, I can do this for 10 days!
  16. Hello from NJ! As a failed lap-bander, I am so looking forward to turning things around. I am 53 and have 120 lbs to lose. I have sleep apnea, arthritic knees and spinal stenosis so I want to get heathy so I can enjoy life again! My surgery date is June 17th and I've never been so excited to go to the hospital! Grateful for this second chance. Good luck to us all.
