  1. Completely agree! Congrats!!! By the way, I want your eyebrows - share your shaping secrets lol
  2. Really? I'll have to pick some up - thank you!
  3. Thanks for the response - I feel a lot better!
  4. I was sleeved on 4/23. I still have stitches in, the surrounding area is red and starting to itch. Is this apart of the normal healing process or is this the early signs of an infection? I see my doctor on the 9th. As always, I appreciate your input! - Nic
  5. I'm in the same boat, sleeved on 4/23. Congrats! Looking forward to the losers bench.
  6. I got sleeved on 4/23. I had pain until last Sunday. I'm still a little sore getting in and out of bed. I've only been able to sleep on my back. Best of luck to you - congratulations!
  7. Congratulations on your loss!
  8. You are stunning! Thank you for sharing! xo
  9. The boys club has been the most fun since I joined this site
  10. You look gorgeous! What were your before stats? How are you doing with excess skin?
  11. I was sleeved on 4/23/13, today was my one week post-op weigh in, I am down 9 lbs and feeling pretty good.
  12. Congratulations! You look great! I look forward to sharing my own 1 month post op story (it'll be a week tomorrow, so I have 3 weeks to go). You're an inspiration - keep up the good work!
  13. Hi - congrats on being sleeved! I was sleeved on 4/23. I feel your pain, the only way I can get them down is to turn them into a "smoothie". My favorites include: Atkins Cafe Caramel Shake (15g protein, 1g sugar, 160 calories, 2g net carbs) a shot of soy milk and a hand full of ice until its a milkshake consistency. Another one that tastes really good is EAS Carb Control in Strawberry Cream (17g of protein, 0 sugar, 100 calories, 2.5 g net carbs) 2 large frozen strawberries (no sugar added) a shot of soy milk and a handful of ice - hope this helps! Best wishes to you
  14. I was sleeved on 4/23. I want tomato or cream of mushroom (blended) soup so bad. I will call my surgeons office on Monday to see if I can. Has anyone experienced this a few days out? I've been drinking chicken and beef broth without any trouble at all...
  15. I was told to start protein shakes as soon as I got home.
  16. I'm feeling a little better. It's still slow moving, I'm not hungry whatsoever. It's a chore to drink the shakes. When I do drink them, I stand up and pace back and forth, I notice it helps tremendously with the gasses inside. I am able to drink the shakes and water without any difficulty after doing this. I notice a lot of people try to come off their pain meds as soon as they come home, I'm not one of them! I follow the dosage and stick to it, I'm still in a decent amount of pain. Taking it one step at a time, thanks for thinking of me!
  17. I was sleeved on 4/23, I had my gallbladder out and my surgeon informed me that I had a hiatal hernia. I was discharged yesterday. I am still in a significant amount of pain. Personally, I would not be able to attend a concert 3 days out. I know everyone is different but I wanted to share my story. I wish you the best of luck - let us know how you make out! - Nic
  18. Hi Everyone, I was sleeved on Tuesday (4/23). I was discharged from the hospital this morning at 11:30 am. I am home now and reality is setting in. I am in pain, more than I thought. I had my gallbladder out and my surgeon told me I had a hiatal hernia. It feels very surreal that I've had this done - I'm feeling anxious. I hope it doesn't take too long before I feel better. Any advice, comments, words of wisdom, suggestions, etc. are appreciated! Nic x
  19. How did you make out?
  20. Don't be nervous, I just had it done not too long ago myself. I was fully sedated, woke up with no sore throat, pain or discomfort of any kind. Was a little sleepy from the procedure, went home and napped. Best of luck - you'll do fine!
  21. Hi everyone! My surgery is Tuesday, I am nervous and equally excited. Wondering if you can help me pack my hospital bag - what should I bring? How long was your stay? Any tips/advice is greatly appreciated! Thanks, Nic x
  22. Congrats! My surgery is April 23rd - so excited!
