I was released from the hospital yesterday and can have cream soups, yogurt, pudding, milk, crm of wheat, protein shakes, etc. Big change from preop! Yum!

Until I woke up I didn't know I was going to lose my gall bladder or had a hiatel hernia! Glad that it all got taken care of at once. In a bit more pain than I would've been I'm sure.

I was super swollen yesterday but today is much better! It's day two post op.

Today is day two post op! I'm still alive! Lol!

I was sleeved on Valentine's Day so this is my second day post op. Can't believe it! I think yesterday was worse than the day of surgery. I was told that my gall bladder was removed and that a hiatel hernia was repaired. No wonder I was so sore! I slept really well last night. Pain meds every three hours. Going to try to get some protein in today. Continue with the water. As long as I pee I know I'm doing okay! Very excited for my future!

Okay. Today is day two post op. Had much better sleep last night. Great pain pills and back in my own bed. I can already tell that today will be better. I think I've been a little more sore than most since I had my gall bladder removed and a hiatel hernia repair. But I'm chugging along. Sipped water and had Italian ice and a popsicle yesterday. Going to get some protein in today. I know I'm not drinking enough but as long as I continue to urinate every few hours I think I'm okay. No regrets! Getting better every day!

Hi all! I have been on clear liquid and shakes for 13 days! It seemed like the longest two weeks of my life but now that my surgery is tomorrow it seems that it went very fast! Do the best you can and don't sweat it. If you are going to cheat be sure that it's protein you're cheating with! Good luck!

I am a high school teacher! I'm telling my students along the way! They have to know or they will ask questions. Also, I feel badly because I've been grumpy on the pre-op diet. So I told them.

I'm four days pre-op too. I'm so thankful that my insurance is paying that there's not going to be any second thoughts! I know this is the best decision for me. I do have lots of questions all of a sudden. Guess that's normal too. Feel like I'm about to give birth and might not have everything ready at home!
