  1. I agree about the mind, I had a revision from a band and I initially lost, then nothing so I do have that going through my mind. I researched this much more then I did the band so I'm confident if I do what I'm suppose to be doing I will see the results. Good luck to you Jana, sleeved 1/31/13
  2. I have decided to unfriend my scale, I'm 3 weeks post op tomorrow and while I did lose 19 in 2 weeks it hasn't moved in 6 days. Don't worry I'm not all freaked out I'll never lose again, i wont make one of those crazy posts of " whats going on" I've decided to go with the flow and the pounds will drop. I'm paying attention to my measurements, I like that better. Jana, sleeved 1/31/13
  3. I used Dr. Cabrera and Venezuela, they are 4500 for the sleeve, same as Almanza, There are options out there that don't compromise safety or comfort. A friend who used Almanza 2 years ago could not recommend using him, so I did my research and knew he wasn't for me. Jana, sleeved 1/31/13
  4. I have been doing half Water half almond milk, that has helped a little. Jana, sleeved 1/31/13
  5. I was 2 weeks yesterday, it takes me half a day to drink a 6 oz shake. I'm the same with Water which makes me sad because I love just plain water, I have gotten used adding the g2 to it but only rain berry sits well. This is definitely a hit and miss, I just hate spending 5 dollars on a drink I can't stomach. Jana, sleeved 1/31/13
  6. I sent my husband to get me some, I tried the pineapple banana one, yuck. It reminded me if the test for diabetes when I was pregnant. At over $5 a pop I'm afraid to try the others. How do you get all the Protein in and Water needed? Protein shakes fill me up after 3 swallows. . Jana, sleeved 1/31/13
  7. I am desperately needing to get Protein in, shakes just sit heavy in my sleeve. What flavors of the Isopure have you tried and liked? Jana, sleeved 1/31/13
  8. I had a revision 2 weeks ago at MI Doctor, they gave me my band back. Jana, sleeved 1/31/13
  9. I am 2 weeks post op, band to sleeve revision, I paid $5,600 in Mexico. It covered 3 nights in hotel and 2 nights in hospital. Also, transportation to and from San Diego. Good luck to you! Jana, sleeved 1/31/13
  10. I'm also 11 days out and yes swallows are easier but I woke up horribly nauseous, I haven't had that at all. Jana, sleeved 1/31/13
  11. That's great, my decision came down to how many he does a day and his recovery house, im glad to hear he changed the recovery place though that's probably why he was more the when my friend went. I'm glad you had a great experience, happy weight loss Jana, sleeved 1/31/13
  12. Where did you recover? Jana, sleeved 1/31/13
  13. I was going to use dr Almanza because I friend of mine did but I was turned off by the recovery house and strip mall clinic. What was your experience with those? How many surgeries did he do on your day? Jana, sleeved 1/31/13
  14. I had surgery with him 9 days ago, he cautious and thorough, he asked for follow up paper work from my endocrinologist due to thyroid cancer. The more info he has the better, for you and him. Good luck.
  15. I'm 9 days post open,15.2 lbs down. Other than getting tired easily, I feel great!
  16. Yes, I did. I had a wonderful experience from the dr to the hotel to the coordinator Daniel. My advice, don't bring as many clothes as you think you'll need, I way over packed. Pay the $100 deposit for the DVD player at the marriot and bring movies. If you have any other specific questions please ask. Jana, sleeved 1/31/13
  17. My self pay in Mexico was 5,600 for a band sleeve revision, Mexico is a great place to go for surgery. I had my band there and had no second thoughts about going for my sleeve. I will be going back for an arm lift if needed, my insurance will pay for my tummy tuck! Jana, sleeved 1/31/13
  18. If it the dr Almanza that uses Jerusalem clinic, please research this clinic, I have heard he also does too many surgeries in a day. I used Dr Cabrera & Venezuela and they are $4,500 ( i paid 5,600 for a recision) and use MI Doctor and the marriot for recovery. Keep asking questions! Jana, sleeved 1/31/13
  19. Nothing, as long as its turned in, in the same condition as you received it. You just have to put the deposit of $100 down. They require a credit card for any incidentals anyway. We had a Downton abbey marathon. Jana, sleeved 1/31/13
  20. We knew of the limited tv stations so we reserved a DVD player for $100 deposit, we just brought movies. So glad we did because the stations were very limited. Jana, sleeved 1/31/13
  21. Which hotel? Jana, sleeved 1/31/13
