  2. My street has not been cleared well due or stupid people leaving their cars on both sides of the street:( I would rather go next week, that's just my vote. of course I am a wimp when it comes to driving in snow. So I may not be able to come tomorrow but I hope I can make the next one. How often to you all meet up?
  3. Some of the streets are still hard to get around on it might be better to reschedule for the following Saturday??
  4. That is great! You ate looking good:)
  5. That's the first step:) I am about 4 weeks post op and I don't regret a minute of it! KC Bariatric is a great practice, very nice staff.
  6. At your first appt you meet the doctor and he will answer any questions you and then you meet with a case manager who coordinates all you pre op stuff and she will give a work sheet of to do's prior to your surgery. The case manager helps you get though all the steps. All the staff is very helpful and nice:) I would recommend attending the support groups before surg if you can they are so helpful.
  7. I'm looking forward to meeting everyone:)
  8. Wow! That is inspiring! I just had my sleeve 1/23;)
  9. I am only 3 weeks post op but I have no regrets! I did tell people who asked what surgery I was having since my co workers knew I was going to be off for 3 weeks. I chose to tell people because I have no issues with people knowing. I was surprise at how supportive my co workers are:)
  10. The only protein drink I have been able to tolerate is thd Premier Protein from Costco and pure Protein drinks. I have a few different protein powders that I can't tolerate.
  11. I am planning on being there, sounds like fun:) I am excited to meet other people that have been though the same thing.
  12. My sleeve was 1/23. It's a journey!
  13. Finally got a good nights sleep!! I have slept the last 2 night without having to get up into the recliner:) I'm a side sleeper so until the last 2 nights I couldn't sleep on either of my sides since before surg. I feel good this morning:)
  14. Hey, Lacey!! That is the same group that did my sleeve on 1/23/13. Dr.Hamilton was my specific surgeon. It is a great practice and very helpful every step of the way. I live in Independence so not far:) Welcome!
  15. I was sleeved 1/23 and j get about 500-550 calories a day. I'm on soft foods so not much variety.
  16. I started my exercise today and it felt so empowering!!! I think it's because I know it will help my weight loss and healing. I am only 10 days post op but the doc said I could start walking just no ab workouts and no lifting over 15 lbs:)
