  1. I'm in Anne Arundel County. My doctor is Dr. Averbach at St. Agnes!
  2. On the 23rd I went to my first appointment with the surgeon (Dr. Averbach). We're hoping to have all of my requirements done by June. After talking to him and his nurse, I've decided to switch that when work has their open enrollment in April, I will be switching to United Healthcare, because they only require a BMI or 40. The new insurance wont be effective until July 1, but that's right when all of my requirements wil be done! So excited to be doing this!! Last night, the 28th, I met with the nutritionist, Nancy Lum. She's a sweetheart! She said I'm a great candidate for this surgery and we have set my goal weight at 150-160. That's right where I wanted to be!! Now I've got to work on having more protein and less carbs. Come on July!!!!

  4. Tonight hubby and I attended the mandatory seminar. I'm finally going to go through with this. My meeting with the surgeon is January 23rd. Now to figure out what I can do about insurance. I have BC/BS Maryland and they want me BMI to be 50. I'm at 45 so I'm hoping to switch. Maybe pick up a second insurance or switch when we have open enrollment at work! We'll see
