  1. No I haven't but I do drink the chike coffee protein drink she likes and love it
  2. OK so I just received my container of Chike protein coffee powder, and it didn't come with a scoop. I have used this mix before but it came in packets, all the directions say is mix one packet with milk or water, well how the heck do I measure that out?!?! I believe the packets are 36grams but no idea how that translates to tablespoons. Any help would be appreciated.
  3. Sounds like everyone is doing great, I had my 3 month apt a couple weeks ago, my Dr is happy with my loss I am down 41#s, I wish it could be more, I think I am a bit of a slow loser. SW 265 CW 224, I was hoping to be to 200 by now but I will just keep fighting the good fight!!! I am staying at 900 cal and am wondering if I need to up them, its hard for me to get that many in so I am trying figure out how to do that. I am beggingin to hear compliments from people which is nice.
  4. Going to eat my turkey first, maybe a little mashed potatoes and if theres room, green bean cass. I can see me stopping after the turkey and sitting there pushing food around on my plate so grandma doesn't think something's wrong. First holiday since surg and I have made it through other family functions OK
  5. I have found myself drinking iced coffee now, hated it before now I love it. I make my own and usually add some protein powder unjury. I am going to get some of the sugar free torani syryp to flavor one of these days!
  6. OK I admit I am a daily weigher. I work for a cardiology office and the professional scale is located directly in front of my office. So I make a point to weigh once everyday. Usually right after I have gotten to work and removed my coat(less people around to peek!) I make sure not to get in a tizzy if the scale moves a pound or two. But, what I have found is my days that the weight does come off are usually wed/thurs. I am 14 weeks out. Lost almost 20 the first 2 weeks then slow and steady since. Just under 2 pounds a week. But it never fails I get to work Monday and I haven't moved since Friday, tues I go up half a pound maybe more then BOOM wed hits and the gain plus some have gone, thurs is also a loss. Then a maintain. Those who do not weigh everyday or are against the scale please just move on. I know there are those like me who do weigh in religiously, as before you have to take it with a grain of salt. I no longer get emotional when I step on the scale its like brushing my teeth! Just another chore. It will help me as time moves on to stay in check as maintenance looms(not even close yet). I used to be a scale avoider, that is how I got to my highest weight, I buried my head in the sand. Didn't listen when thigns got tight just went and got a bigger size. Well that attitude is gone! I just thought it weird how my body is behaving. I am not complaining a bit, the loss is there and I am happy for that.
  7. Yeah I am now a little over 3 months out, the "evening snacking" demon has found its way back to me. I always crave a crunchy salty snack late in the evening. So no my head hunger and some emotional eating are still there. My physical hunger has disappeared. SO I am learning to hone in on that. Which has been great during the day, at work we have landmines of bad food, I have not even thought twice about them. I also make sure I bring my healthy stuff with me. But like a switch once 8pm rolls around the gears start moving in my head. I have started a later workout class a couple nights a week. By the time I get home I am working on just fluids and whooped so I am able to avoid the food ideas. I think its going to be a lifelong struggle for me
  8. My trigger is chips/crackers those types of crunchy salty(mouth is now watering) I have not had them in the house since surg. I'm a little over 3 months out. But I always make goodies for my husband to take to deer camp so last week I made a double batch of spicy chex mix and whoopee pie cookies. They sat for 24hrs before he took them. I resisted the cookies with no issues. But the chex mix, ugh not good. I had a small handful. Then saw myself walking back after 15 mintutes and grabbed the containers and put them in his truck! Out of sight out of mind!! Now I know what my triggers are. I am early out so I have not indulged much at all. That scared me. I will not bring them in the house, and my hubby doesn;'t need them on a regular basis either!!!
  9. I incorporate my morning shake with coffee, make it a sort of iced coffee with Protein drink, I always try to keep it below 200 calories. I am not someone that allows enough time for Breakfast and I would need like over an hour just for that. Eating real food in the morning is tough for me. 2 bites and I am uncomfortably full. Also I hate eggs, always have. I have cut down to just one Protein Drink a day with the occasional one before a workout when I am feeling in the need, I rarely finish a whole one. Like others have posted I track everything that goes in my mouth on myfitnesspal so those calories are accounted for. I love unjury, and chike mixes, hit it with some coffee, ice and a quick blend and I am off and running for the day!!! Calories are around 130. My Dr is ok with this he did warn me not to have a food breakfast as well. I get it though, liquid calories are sneaky.
  10. I am at the stage that theres little flaps under my arms like wings, so not cool, I am going to up my weights and try for a remedy that way, otherwise I could have liftoff!!!!
  11. OK my weigh in today is 229, it was my birthday this weekend so I was bad, but back on track!!
  12. OK my weigh in today is 229.0, really hoping to hit 215 (or under) !!!
  13. I am jealous of all you fast losers(great job!!), I started at 265 and currently am at 229, I was hoping to be close to 200 by now but I guess I am one of the slow losers, its been consistent with a 1.5 loss every week no stalls since the first 3 weeks. I am working out, could do better with it but I am going to keep at it. Hoping by thanksgiving to be in the 210s
  14. Well didn't reach my goal but still happy with progress, today 229.0 nine pounds off. Happy Halloween!
  15. 3 months out and I am down 36. Very slow but I know I will get there, I refuse to give up
  16. OK so today I am at 229.6! I broke the 220s haven't seen that in years! I prob won't make my goal 100% but I am happy with it so far
  17. I was sleeved 8/5 HW 265 CW 231 so I think we are losing at the same rate, you can totally tell a difference. Keep up the good work, I have the same feelings about myself when I look in the morror
  18. I will join! HW 265, CW 231.6 Goal by thanksgiving 215(I'm a slow loser)
  19. I am 232.6 this morning, maybe a pound? I will take it
  20. I have had flavored vodka and a small amount of diet soda, I find the soda becomes flat once you add ice. I usually can have a couple and it takes me awhile to finish a cocktail which is good because the alcohol does affect me quicker. Its in a social setting anyway, not like I'm doing shots!!! I like vanilla vodka and diet a&w root beer. I find I can no longer stomach beer, the bubbles make my tummy feel weird and I used to love specialty beer. Oh well, I am going to a winery this weekend for a girls getaway and plan on tasting some wines.
  21. 8/5 and down 33 pounds so I would be happy with your loss for sure!
  22. My average is about 1.8 a week so far with one stall at 3 weeks out. surg was 8/5 I am down to 233 as of this morning. Starting weight 265, I am just excited to be wearing things I haven't in years!! Shopping in my own closet! I am losing in weird places but I am not complaining, seems that my spare tire is holding on for dear life!!! and my legs have become skinny!
  23. I haven't been taking a ppi anymore, my hunger isn't an actual stomach pain its more boredom, but I have been considering going back on the ppi
  24. My weigh in today is 234.0 exactly think that might be 1 pound?
  25. baked chicken thigh(like half of one) and some steamed broccoli.
