Hi all my surgery was scheduled for 1/28 and was canceled for insurance reasons. So it looks like now I will be a February person! (Hopefully) good luck to everyone!!

My doctor told me the same crap! i will make sure we can do this for you asap! well! I ended up doing 6 nutrition sessions in 6 months (they didn't do a thing to help, couldn't actually is what that said after I agreed to everything!) my surgery was scheduled for 1/28 the Thursday before it was canceled it was denied by my insurance company my insurance doesn't accept my doctor or his facility as a center of excellence. Now tomorrow i am meeting with a completely new doctor in a different hospital! i have been going there for six month and was told they will take care of the insurance! My suggestion to you is not to listen to anyone call the insurance company yourself, find out what you need to do from them. I have united health care like a lot of people do and inside Uhc there are subdivisions like Uhc optimism (which is what I have) every subdivision has different requirement when the dr office saw Uhc they just assumed, and didn't look further into it like they said they would.... Look out for yourself and check don't let this happen to you

I have united Heath care optimum and they told me I was denied because my doctor and his hospital was not a Uhc approved center of excellence. When I first started 6 months ago with the doctor they took care of everything and told me what I had to do. I did everything including packing my bag for the hospital then got the call. So my suggestion call the insurance company yourself and make sure for yourself what you need to do!

No I am going through the same thing! I was denied the Friday before my surgery date! Now I waiting again for approval! I feel like there is nothing I can do but wait! I can't sleep, I didn't even eat for 2 days I was so upset! I completely understand what you are going through! Good luck!

Me too! I am having problems with my approval. my surgery was supposed to be monday and was denied to the point where I had to find a new doctor it was denied the Friday before! I can't sleep either! I found a new doctor on Friday and the nurse submitted my paper work at 9:15 am on monday so I am waiting this week for the approval and if I get it I get the surgery this monday! This is the most stressed I have ever been I am so nervous!

Hi all! I am a person who likes to visually reward myself. I am looking for something visual to keep track of each lb lost. I saw "motivation marbles" on line and my old weight watchers leader used to give us a paper clip to string together for every lb we lost. I was wonder if any of your have any fun ideas that you do!

I backed out two years ago thinking it was the easy way out kept trying different diets lost 30 and then only ended up 15lbs heavier then where I started. Try the pre-op diet and have him try it with you and then have him tell you this is the easy way out, this pre-op diet is the hardest thing I have ever done! I have been on so many diets and all of them I can cheat which makes them easy, but unsuccessful, this I can't/won't cheat its a great tool to help me stay strong and save my life. Good luck with whatever you decide.
