  8. I too work in the hospital where I will be sleeved. I waited to tell my manager I would be out for surgery until after I had my date & had made all my pre op arrangements & had an expected return date set. I then let hr know & lastly filed my dbl/fmla claim.. I have not to my manager what I'm having surgery for, but some of my coworkers do know & if asked I will tell the truth.

  10. I am scheduled for February 27th ! No second guessing I am totally prepared. Although now I'm getting all the questions/comments from others like am I sure I wanna do this, you don't need to do this, why are you doing this. My reply: I'm doing this for me, it's happening, end of discussion. Stops them in their tracks lol.
  11. What did you have/take with you (or wish you had) to the hospital or had at home the first few days that you found worked well (example: extra pillows in bed, what did you have to "eat" that worked well, etc) Thanks I just wanna be prepared

L-Lysine 500 mg-2 times a day Vitamin C 2000mg-2 times a day Cayenne Capsules Vitamin B 100mg-3 times a day Zinc 80 mg a day for 1 week Calcium 1500mg a day for 1 week Magnesium 750mg a day for 1 week Vitamin E 400-800 IU daily Echinacea Don't know why but this works. Best wishes. Hope your surgery doesn't get cancelled.
  16. You could infect someone if they have never had chicken pox before. Same protocol as chicken pox. Stay home till you scab over.

  18. So I was supposed to have had surgery on 1/8. But my company changed insurances & I had to resubmit to the new one (with added bloodwork needed) just very frustrated right now. So ready for this to have been done.
