Not local, but hi! and Welcome!! This forum can be a huge source of information and support..... It has been a safe place to ask questions and to vent... I am still pre-op, scheduled for 2/13 and cannot believe the support I have received here! Several of us also use MyFitnessPal and have friended each other there... Just kinda of a nice push to receive little messages during your day encouraging you to keep up the good work! Best of luck to you as you begin this journey!!
  2. I hear ya!! Coca cola is my coffee and main liquid... or was.... Gave it up January 1st in anticipation to spread out the changes!! LOL! And the headaches ya get when you quit the sugar and caffeine! I start my 1200 calorie pre-op diet tommorrow x2 weeks, then 1 week of liquid diet for my surgery date February 13th!! So ready for it to be here already!! Good luck and keep us posted!!
  3. I am still pre-op and the thought of 33 lbs in a month makes me wanna do a happy happy dance!! Congrats and keep it up girl!!! I love LaBelle509's attitude!! I have shared my decision with some and have been surprised at one's that I believed would be supportive being out right cruel! I have a super supportive set of parents, daughter and brother..... and of course the best friend by my side.... I am already in love with this site and the encouragement and experience we bring to one another!! Be blessed and keep it up!!
