  1. I told myself that the speed will come slowly so I don't feel so disappointed. But I now believe I'm a runner EVEN at a slower speed. I am upping my speed .1 with each week on the c210k program. It does seem to be easier with each passing day. (As long as I listen to my body and not my head, lol). Sounds like your doing awesome. Keep up the good work!!
  2. Ran 2.25 today and upped my speed a hair. Will start week 2 of 10k training Wednesday.
  3. I have a Jawbone Up and am liking it. It also is motivating me to get more movement in daily.
  4. Hey Laura. Nice to see you here!
  5. Good luck! You can do it.
  6. Onto 10K & Speed. Week 1 day 2 done! Boy it's pretty quiet here. Looking forward to the weekend. First weekend home in 2 months. We're taking the 3 yr old grandson and his parents to the zoo. Should be a fun day with family and lots of walking. I swear that little guy can out walk grandma! The last time we went to the zoo he walked the whole thing and according to my pedometer it was 5 miles. Happy weekend everyone.
  7. Starting C210K and decided I would increase my speed a tiny bit each day. Also on Mondays I think I will still do a longer run so I don't lose my endurance.
  8. W8D3 done! According to my app I've graduated. Now to work on speed.
  9. Just finished week 8 day 2. Had to really talk myself through this one. After I made it to the halfway mark I just felt like I couldn't go on. I just kept talking myself through, saying you can do it, run through just one more song. Then another, then another & finally I told myself run until the one min left then your done. When I hit the one minute warning I just kicked into high gear and finished. Today was very challenging but I did it!!
  10. Circuit day today. Feeling inspired by everyone here to work on other goals in my life. God bless everyone!
  11. I just want to post a BIG thank you to fiddleman and butterthebean. You two are so helpful and informative for us beginners. I really enjoy reading every post and response you give. It is always a nugget of info I store away in my memory and use. THANK YOU to everyone else here as well. Your all gems!!
  12. I don't do a heavy circuit training and I only do it for about 35 minutes. I just know that I need to work on my muscles hoping to help the flabby skin a tiny little bit. Thanks for the encouragement!
  13. Did circuit training this morning. Muscles feel like rubber bands right now. BUT, thank you Lord that I have working muscles!!
