  1. Welcome and congratulations on your decision. I was sleeved on Dec. 6 so I'm not too far ahead of you as far as post op. I don't regret any decisions I've made and I know that this was what I needed to save my life and my future with my family. I plan on enjoying my grandchildren and the great grandchildren after that.
  2. Great job! Keep it up, your inspiring to a newbie like me. Your about 1 month ahead of me.
  3. Congratulations Slim! I know Dr. Hoehn assisted Dr. Hamilton for my surgery. I really like him. Praying your surgery goes well and your recovery is quick as well. Do you know if there are any good support groups in your area?
  4. I had surgery 12/6 as well and have hit a small stall. I just posted a similar question on the board. It seems awkward feeling relief to see others "struggling" and knowing I'm not the only one. ☺
  5. I just weighed for week number four post op and I only lost .6 pounds for the week. I'm kind of bummed but somebody else told me I was probably still dealing with recovery. Has anyone else had this issue or should I be worried?
  6. I live in Central Ks, Great Bend, and was sleeved by Dr. Hamilton at KC Bariatric in Lenexa. Had my surgery 12-06-12. Everything went well and it has now been about a month. I haven't really had any problems and am getting really excited to start exercising and weight training. I agree that I hate being so far from my Dr. There isn't any local support groups to attend either. I was thinking about checking out the Wichita area and just planning to drive the 2 hrs every month.
  7. My surgery was Dec. 6 and I was really nervous as well. I kept telling myself that this was nothing compared to the c-sections that I endured for the love of my children. This time I was going to do this for ME!! I was worth the recovery pain as well. Glad to hear your surgery went well and happy healing!
