  1. I only sleep on my tummy so I hope not. Right now I've been sleeping on my side with a pillow because I'm still a bit soar.
  2. How long after surgery were you able to sleep in your tummy?
  3. Hi wlq! While at the doc, If you can ask about the abdomen swelling that would be great !
  4. I had a drain. It was removed on day 3 when I left the hospital and yes you do feel better. You are able to stand up straight more and it's like a big weight lifted. Also if you have staples on your incisions, once removed you will feel back to normal.
  5. OMG thanks for reminding me about measurements. I haven't thought about that. Xmas eve was horrible for me. I barely left my room. the 4th and 5th day after surgery was when I felt crazy hungry.
  6. We made it to 1 week post op!!!!! How are you feeling? I am feeling much better today and getting ready to go out to the park for a walk. Haven't done exercise at all since surgery. I have to say yesterday and today I've felt no hunger at all compared to the previous days. I am barely drinking liquids - REALLY BAD I know. I am working on that today. Numbers aren't so impressive like I've seen on others but its more then I've done on my own since forever. Weight went I started pre-op diet - 224 Surgery day - 218 Today - 208 I'm a bit disappointed that I don't see the weight loss in my body. I still fit in my cloth the same. I even see my stomach area bigger then before :-(
  7. That can definitely be a factor. I heard a toning cream from MaryKay is really good. I'm going to give it a shot lol
  8. Penny, thank you so much for replying. Do you exercise? Is there something specific you do in terms of exercise that is helping? I plan on losing about 80pounds and really would like to avoid plastics.
  9. Anybody lose 60 -100 pounds and DOES NOT have excess skin?
  10. Has anyone been sent home after surgery with medication other then pain killers? My surgeon told me he called in a blood thinner twice but the pharmacy keeps telling me they don't have the order, as in its never been placed. I am just wondering if I that med is something I absolutely need. If so I would need to call him on Xmas.
  11. Great! I am only allowed protein shots and its disgusting!!!!! To top it off i need to take 4 per day!!!! i am not allowed any kind of protein. Shakes.
  12. I've been on clear since 12/14 and I was told it stays like that till 1/8. Even then I don't think it will change I feel the same way as you super hungry but I'm scared to do full liquids
  13. Does anyone know is Ensure Clear is good? It has 9g of protein but 130 calories.
  14. I can totally relate. I am just 5 days post op and still on Clear Liquids till who knows when. I have my NUT appt on 1/8/13 and am hoping I can progress to Atleast full liquids. I'm Hispanic and we go all out with the food on Xmas and New Years. The smell in my house from all the cooking is driving me crazy. I'm really starting to have buyers remorse. Atleast think wth did I do this before the holidays. It's soooo hard!!!!
  15. Yesterday in the middle of the night like at 4am I had to get up and eat a SF jello because my stomach would not stop growling. It wouldn't make let me sleep, it was bothersome. I aye the jello then I was fine. I see my doc tomorrow and hopefully he says I can move to Atleast full liquids. I really don't like feeling the growling at all.
  16. Omg yes! My stomach is rumbling too!!!! I want this liquid phase over with!
  17. Hi traci, How are you doing? I am home now. Got home yesterday night. not much pain. I get a burning sensation from 2 of the incisions and I've noticed if I walk it goes away.
  18. Ok so John was your first 2 weeks clear liquids or full liquids? You and kapoor seem to be similar, I think mine will be the same. My doc is also very conservative.
  19. I have the orange flavor. I hold my nose and swallow. Lol don't breeze for a few after and you'll be fine.
  20. I am 4 days post op and can't remember for how long am I suppose to be on clear liquids. I was on clear liquids 5 days before surgery, so it's been 9 days so far. I don't plan on progressing till I get clearance from doc but just wondering, for how long are your stages after surgery and what were they?
  21. I have Protenix. My surgeon requires we buy it Atleast the first 3 months of surgery. He sells it right in the office. It's horrible tasting but doable. I take 2 TS 4 times a day and it gives 68grams of protein.
  22. very good to know. I'm kind of cheered up now. Ortega07, next week I will definitely be here for you. We all need it. At times it's hard to speak to friends and family about what you are feeling because as non food addicts, or just naturally thin, it's hard to relate.
  23. Wow! Thank you so much for the post. I really needed to hear that. Ill give it time. Need to hide the scale lol
  24. Thank you all for the encouragement. It's just so hard to think you went through this and nothing. :-( but I know you guys are probably right
