  1. I ate one reeses peanut butter mini...and only one! That is truly a first for me. Lol. It did taste pretty amazing though! Funny enough I had a harder time not eating too much of the roast made last night!
  2. You look amazing, congratulations!
  3. I started around 325 with a goal of 180 as well! What surgeon does surgery in Grand Haven?
  4. I have a really hard time eating slow too. :-(
  5. I only had a 2 day preop diet and I did drink some ready made Protein drinks from the doctors office but other than those I haven't really gotten into Protein Shakes...I tried but yuck. :-(
  6. Non scale victories. :-)
  7. I was at 60 pounds lost before people really started saying anything...now they think I'm melting away! Lol
  8. You look so wonderful, congratulations! :-) over 100 lbs in 6 months is crazy! Good luck on the rest of your journey!
  9. I wouldn't start 2 weeks early...you have restrictions for so long post op you will be wanting to cheat! Lol
  10. My pre-op weight was 325 and now I am 249. I have had a relatively easy recovery/transition, no complications. I just don't tolerate certain foods and have been feeling my restriction a lot. As far as words of wisdom, follow what the doc's/nut's say! Lol don't rush yourself into eating your old food choices, we fo need to change these to be successful. Check out the world according to eggface blog for shake recipes and for some healthy recipes for later on. If you have any question s, feel free to ask specifics.
  11. I am doing really well, I have lost 76 lbs and am almost 13 weeks. :-)
  12. I am in Grand Rapids Mi, and had surgery on 12-11-12. Would love to keep up with someone from this area.
  13. My husband was super supportive before surgery, helooked up the surgery on-line and learned about it. He and I both agreed that it would be best for me. I have to say that now that it is done, things are different. I don't want to say that he is unsupportive necessarily but he just doesn't realize a lot of my restrictions. He bought me a bottle yesterday (super nice) but it's a straw one and I can't drink out of a straw. He said oh I'll make rice for us the other day...I can't eat rice. I guess he just forgets a lot but sometimes it drives me crazy!? It makes me feel like he doesn't really care.
