  1. I think it's a great idea to search for healthy snack ideas. I would be careful, however, with mindless eating. If you aren't hungry and are just looking to keep busy, I would suggest an activity other than eating.
  2. Good point, Rohler. Perhaps she'll share more upon her return.
  3. It's unfortunate that you opted to answer this question privately. Any information we have to offer, both positive and negative, about our experiences is very useful as it can help potential sleeve patients make informed decisions. I don't wish to make assumptions or draw conclusions from this, but the fact that you chose to answer in this manner is perhaps quite telling.
  4. I walk anywhere from 4-5 miles a day. It takes about 65-75 minutes depending on the terrain.
  5. Fiddleman, I have seen Metromint at Safeway, not sure if you have one of those nearby.
  6. I had the same indent in the incision where my drain was and was a square about 2x2". It went away around the 4th or 5th week. It made me nervous, too! I thought it would be like that forever but was assured by my surgeon's team that it was quite normal.
  7. No need for BL-style workouts. If you can do a mix of cardio and strength training for 45 minutes most days of the week you're golden.
  8. I would not set a specific time limit on it. Just keep an eye on your incisions and hop in the water when they are fully healed.
  9. I love this! Good for you, Amy!
  10. I like the True Lemon packets. I also want to try True Orange. Just saw their website and they have a lot of flavors now! http://www.truelemon.com/products.html I have seen these at Amazon where you can get a box of 500 for less than 40 bucks; haven't pilled the trigger, though!
  11. On surgery day my BMI was 44.
  12. You should be resting, Amy!
  13. It is 5/17-5/19! Here's more info: http://www.wlsfa.org/event/
  14. True! I can't even imagine going to Vegas without eating buffets for every meal! This will be interesting for sure!
