  1. I agree with Cheri. I lost 20 by my 2 week post op visit. However, the scale stalled and I got pretty depressed. You may want to measure yourself. The scale may stall but your body will keep changing
  2. Q2: you'll feel more restriction as you move from liquids to soft and from soft to solids. Especially with liquids and for hydration reasons, drink as much as you comfortably can
  3. I agree with the blood pressure thing. Happens to me a lot when I stand up too fast.
  4. Wow, I just remember you posting thinking that you may have a leak and someone saying they remember you because of your banana phone. I have not had a leak, my progress has been okay. I still struggle with fluids and Protein. Your doctor should never tell you that you're asking stupid questions!!! File a grievance and switch doctors. That's so rude.
  5. Oh my gosh! I am so sorry to hear that!
  6. Has anyone ever tried ecstasy post op? I'm wondering because there are no definitive answers out there.
  7. I remember you posting a while back. If you don't mind me asking, how has everything progressed?
  8. I'm sure Iggychic will chime in at some point. She has been through a lot as well and I believe she would be your best resource
  9. I will say that I never was much of a caffeine drinker pre op. the one time I did a few sips of iced tea post op, I was awake for 2 days. Never again.
  10. You should wait until you're fully healed to start ab exercises. I tried at 4 weeks, pulled and internal stitch and in pain almost instantly. Ask your doctor when he thinks you'll be ready for ab work
  11. It will irritate your stomach. At 3 weeks out, with the amount you're eating, the trade off isn't worth it
  12. MOM is disgusting. I'm having bowel movement issues as well, but I can't stomach MOM. My NUT recommends miralax as well. I'm going to look move into it if the "magic" doesn't happen on its own.
  13. I'm 9 weeks post op. perhaps I should hold off on the medicine then? I feel sort of better, but not at 100% yet. Maybe at like... 25%. I'm calling in sick at work for the next 3 days depending on how I feel. I've been sleeping a lot, ate some chicken broth for lunch yesterday. Nothing but orange juice today. I'm concerned about my meeting I'm going to. It should last an hour. Then like 1.5-2 hours in traffic to get home. Damn...
  14. Can I take regular medicine? My room mate and I like this cold pills called XL-3. They will usually have us up and running in 6 or so hours.
  15. I keep waking up feeling better, and then worse. Hopefully tomorrow I'm okay ish. I have a few meetings and a lot of driving to do.
  16. I'm so miserable. My body hurts, I can't eat or drink much, and every time I talk medicine, I throw it back up. I have so much to do tomorrow, FML. My room mate got me sick, and he's been taking medicine and is pretty much all better now.
  17. I have the flu. And it is not fun. I can't stomach cold medicine, I've tried multiple times. What can I do? Someone help me please
  18. Are you pre op or post op? I'm 5'4 as well with a starting weight of 300 pounds
  19. I didn't have a leak test either. Just imagine if you went through the entire process only to gain weight. How would you feel?
  20. What if they don't fit? Do you do returns? I need pants bad but am scared they won't fit
  21. Ladiwobs, What's your intake on a typical day? Like today, what have your ate or drank since waking up? Maybe we can start there and try to figure this out with you
  22. Recovery = horrible time. My younger brother took a few videos of me a few hours post op, it makes me sad to watch them... I have a high tolerance for pain, but those first few days are forever engraved in my mind. I was also saying "what the hell did I do to myself" the first few days. I'm 9 weeks out, and it does get better. I am like a normal person again. And it makes me realize that at the moment the situation sucked but it was worth every second of pain.
  23. Not fitting into movie theater seats Getting winded going upstairs Sweating Being anti social Being referred to as the "fat one"
