  1. I must admit. Im VERY SKEPTICAL of her story...HOWEVER...if there's any truth behind it...she needs to get a second medical opinion and possibly legal advice. This website is like any other social networking site. There's much more to people behind the screen... Sent from my iPad using VST
  2. Sounds like a malpractice suit. There's no way possible you could have stretched ...like others said...you would have a leak along the suture line before "stretching" since you're so early out. Not to be funny...but it sounds like no surgery was ever performed.
  3. I'm just trying to bump this thread back to the top
  4. This is my PERSONAL OPIONON and has become my MANTRA for this JOURNEY. I was sleeved 11/14/12. Like many of us I was obsessed with the scale...elated with a loss and dissapointed when the numbers didn't change. I have personally decided not to weigh myself(only on follow up dr appts) I have been sticking to my eating plan and working out everyday. I hAve complete faith that I WILL REACH GOAL. I am no longer going to allow the numbers on the scale and these supposed "stalls" To EVER DISCOURAGE ME or make me think I'm going to fail. All I see ahead of me is victory! For those of you being discouraged by stalls....STOP IT. It's quite natural for our bodies to go through brief periods of "stalls". I cringe everytime I read a post about folks getting discouraged. In order for anyone to have 85% of their stomach removed they have had to have a lot of courage to begin with. So STAY ENCOURAGED...you WILL LOSE! :-) remember...this is not a race....it's a lifelong journey :-)
  5. Hw: time at before pic...337 Day of surgery: 315 Current: 274 63 lbs down...sleeved on 11/14/12
  6. You know what I find sooo funny and ironic is that we were all sleeved around the same time and have lost around the same amount of weight yet for some reason consider that slow...HELLO?!?! We are all loosing at about the same rate so I think we are right on track. I was sleeved 11/14 and down 35. I see ppl with around the same weightloss and timeframe . I take this is a positive. Remember to be encourage and the worse thing to do is to become a slave to the #s. follow your meal plans, get in your protein and water and exercise at least 30 min a day. YOU WILL LOSE!!! :-)
  7. I'm seven weeks out and I too have become obsessed with keeping up with the numbers ...I eat no more than 600 calories a day 60-90 grams of protein ...5 grams of far per meal 10 grams of sugar per meal and 10-15 carbs per meal. I excersise daily and try to burn at least 600 calories per workout. When I don't hit these numbers I do feel a little dissappointed, but I try not to beat myself up. Everyday is a new day. Lifestyle changes don't happen over night...it's a process that happens daily. So don't be discouraged ...just do better the next day
  8. I was sleeved 11/14...high weight 337 ..day of surgery 315...current weight 282. I'm 6ft tall so my goal weight is 200. Pic on right was taking Christmas day
  9. No you can't do it from the iPhone/iPad app
  10. I love reading your posts..they always make me chuckle :-) lol
  11. Definetly reconsider!!!!! I too experienced a very easy recovery. ZERO complications...NO ISSUES whatsoever. I was sleeved on 11/14...I'm down 50 lbs. This has absolutely changed my life.
  12. Do a searh for "cold" and you will see you're not alone. I constantly cold since surgery. I sleep with my central heat, a hoodie and socks every night! I'm not sure of the medical explanation but it's VERY COMMON . :-)
