  3. Finally surgery 9am tomorrow, mixed feelings of excitement, nervous & scared. I truly wish good luck to everyone having surgery tomorrow. I also pray for safe surgery, steady surgeon hands and speedy recovery for us all. This is a big -huge step... And I have faith in the Lord that all will be well.
  4. Yes! Low dose blood thinner to prevent blood clots forming in legs or lungs. ESP we will be in surgery immobile and mostly inactive post op. that's why the best prevention is to walk as soon as possible to avoid blood clot complications.
  5. Okay, I thought I had everything planned out before my surgery on Wednesday. Will work till Tuesday and take off Wednesday. I took the bowel prep as ordered for Sunday to clean out my guts (magnesium citrate )! I was up all night in the bathroom, pooping so much until it was only water! Was so dizzy this am from dehydration. Anyway, I didn't plan for this, so I called in sick today. So much for planning I guess. At least my guts are clean, and will stick to clear liquids until tomorrow. Just thought I'd share for those going through preop...not even sure if anyone else doing this. I have kaiser surgeon and I now all md's are different.
