How are people paying for plastics?
I'm getting a lower body lift and abdominoplasty on 1/9. It's costing $17K. I've been able to save up 7, and will dip into savings for the rest. Initially I am putting the cost on credit cards (they tell me this is commonly done) for ease of transaction, and for the travel miles!

Panni in 10 days!
I am having a lower body lift and abdominoplasty in 3 weeks. I am taking 4 weeks off from work. Will that be enough?

VSG cured my cervical dysplasia!
I did get vaccinated in my forties. I paid out of pocket. I was tested and knew I was HPV negative, and figured that since I was planning on becoming sexually active again, it was wise to do so. My GYN supported my decision.

Consult for panni/tummy tuck - Great Surgeon, not loving the staff...
I am actually having the same problem. Call the office and ask to speak to the office manager and explain your situation. The point is, you are not getting the responsive service that you deserve. Your insurance situation is irrelevant - you are trying to reach a staff member, and your calls aren't being returned. Good luck!

I am mad at myself..
Sounds like you took the time and did the work to figure out why your buttons were being pushed by this guy's behavior, and crafted a positive result - well done! I think dating is exhausting too, and I don't want to become good at it. But I figure, what is the alternative? I don't want to give up on what I really want, so I keep on plugging. I know you will be successful, when the right person comes along. Good luck!

Sex.......and that annoying roll of flesh
In my personal experience I chose to discuss it beforehand, so there were no surprises. And he was very supportive, even making sure to kiss my stomach as a way to show support and acceptance. If he is a good guy then this too will be all good. Congrats on getting back out there!

Thyroid issues
It's like you are telling my story! That's exactly what happened to me, but I was hypothyroid pre-op. I had the same scan, which was positive, and met with the endocrinologist who was ready to put me on medications to treat. I asked to get another blood draw prior to starting medication. Sure enough, the pendulum had swung the other way, and I was pretty hypothyroid.

HAS ANYONE TRIED SHAKEOLOGY
I tried it in the past, preop. I just couldn't tolerate the taste. Mixing it with almond milk did help, though.

Any assistance would be appreciated
Thanks for the reply. Do you know for how long you should need to do that?
-
Breast downsizing
Yes my niece is petite like you. I got her fitted at nordstroms, and then actually ordered additional bras of the same brand and size on eBay - much less expensive!

Breast downsizing
Well in this bra I don't feel the under wires at all. The shape of the bra - it makes my saggy girls look pretty darn good, I will say so myself! It is the underwire that helps with that.

Any assistance would be appreciated
Thanks to you and Jane for your replies. For how long were you instructed to massage? Is it once a day?

Breast downsizing
Just an option - I was fitted for a sports bra at Nordstroms, and I am so in love with this bra! It's like each breast is sitting on a pillow, but the support is amazing! I'm now a 36G. It's panache underwire sports bra. It's made for us larger breasted folks.

Any assistance would be appreciated
Another question I have - I'm told that you have to massage your surgical areas after surgery so that you don't get a lumpy result? Those of you that had lower body lifts and such, what care did you provide to yourself postop, and for how long? Thanks!

Any assistance would be appreciated
Thank you!!

Any assistance would be appreciated
Actually this was very helpful, CGJ - thank you! Using this as a search term got me to the the American society of plastic surgeons (plastic surgery.org), and I could easily see the specialties of plastic surgeons in my area. I now have a list of physicians that I can begin looking into. It feels good to get started! : )

Any assistance would be appreciated
Hi all, I am planning on getting a lower body lift and breast reduction, and am trying to do my homework to pick out physicians for consults. I've seen the recommendations to use real self.com, but I'm having difficulty navigating the site. I try to narrow it down by looking for plastic surgeons in the Philly area who perform lower body lifts, but I get lists of just plastic surgeons who do whatever, but not what I'm looking for. I see blogs of people who had the procedure, but none of them are local to me. Any suggestions? Thanks!

single, traveling and other adventures
My brother is 49 and single, and he goes on these biking trips for singles and really loves them. Theses are tours that book groups and specify singles only for certain trips. Last year he took one starting in San Francisco and biked through wine country. Next month he is doing one in the Canadian Rockies. Let me know if you would like more information, and I will get it for you.

When did you feel like yourself again?
So then you all waited months to buy clothes? How many sizes did you go down afterwards?

Just had Breast Augmentation, Liposuction and Fat Transfer
I didn't know it was an option to have fat transferred to your breasts - that sounds like a great option! Thanks for sharing that!
