  1. Hey chickadee, Just wondering if you made it home ok?
  2. Ummm...watching true love bloom between pokey and big country???
  3. Yes that's the "perfection" I'm looking for! To be comfortable in my imperfect self. To love this 47 year old body. This body has lived... It has been bigger and smaller through the years, gave birth to 2 children and it has the battle scars (and lumps and bumps) to tell the stories. I guess fiddles "perfection" comment hit a chord? Or a button?? I thought am I not giving enough? Am I still being "lazy" minded by not striving for perfection?? Am I stopping just short of goal again and saying "eh good enough" only to slide back into the abyss of morbid obesity again?? I want to be healthy, healthier than I am right now, But I need to love me and be accepting of my imperfect self.
  4. Well I'm partial... but I like the sleeve above all the other options. Good luck to you, and if he's not right one don't get discouraged, it just means that this wasn't meant to be with him..
  5. I think the first thing you need to do is ask how many sleeves he's done... He could of been doing mostly bands and just started the sleeve not that long ago. Leaks happen sometimes but I think it's real bad luck that he's had two in such a short time. So I would want to know just how many he's done. You said that he changed his stats this week and now it two in 100? That sounds like he's only done 100.. Lapband? No it's a defected device so whatever you do don't set yourself up for more surgeries in the future due to complications. Oh when he says there is less complications with lapband? He's right, IN THE FIRST 30 DAYS! Long term? It's nothing but a mess. 65 pounds is great! I would say maybe he's not the right doctor but I wouldn't take it as a sign that you shouldn't have surgery all together.
  6. ****! Second thoughts?? I'd run for the hills! The mere fact that he's trying to talk you into the lapband now, tells me he's not feeling very comfortable with his ability to perform the sleeve surgery! Has he only done 100 sleeves?
  7. The great thread killer! Laura-ven Sorry guys
  8. ****! Gay! Lol she hates when I say lesbian! OMG everyone's getting offended tonight
  9. Well I guess someone should tell that pokey lady she needs to be a little more pc with her language. It must be a regional thing because my daughter who is a lesbian just read the whole thread and laughed her ass off. But hey she's 17 what does she know!
  10. Lol yes it's an requirement.. And I shaved off a lot more that 20! When I lose a bit more weight ill have to see if they will let me take a new one.
  11. You wanted to shower with other guys???
  12. Or should I say choked the chicken..,,
  13. Aw...curiosity just kill this cat 0_0
  14. Yes sir, they sure do! It's right there on the front of my card which makes that picture a bit funny really
  15. I have to put a disclaimer on the protien bar suggestion they are no better than a glorified candy bar. And can really make me binge more... on them! I would stay away..
  16. Robo, you need to get get your fluids in! 20 to 40 ounces?? Not good.. I will tell you this is just as important as the protein first rule. Drinking plain water is hard I know. So I measure my intake by starting off with one 32oz poweraid zero a day. Then I rinse it out and fill it again with water and a sugar free flavoring bam, automatic 64oz. If I don't drink my water I don't lose the weight. Keep the crap out of the house. Remember why you did this. And remember you have the power to change it.
  17. Hey robo, Long time no see. Ok as the other posters said you need to eat your proteins, that is how you will feel your restriction. The crap food just won't do it, you will always be able to eat more of that. Along with having this surgery you need to make changes. I know it's hard, I'm a bringer too, remember. But you are the one in control here. When you want to eat, eat meat first. Roasted chicken, a turkey patty with cheese, low sodium deli meats..
  18. Well there are so many ways you can slice it (Pun intended ) some will say why would you do "that it's not good for you!" And others will say "a whole slice? OMG how did you eat so much" To that I will say its all relative really... I mean do you eat Protein first most times? If so then you are fine it wasn't to much.. And was this a treat? Special occasion? If so, no it's not to much as long as it doesn't open the door to binging. And as far as the size of said pizza? As we all know there can be big slices or smaller slices. And all of our stomachs are different sizes too! So was it to much? Did it put you in pain? Overly full? If not then I'd say it wasn't to much. At four months out I could eat a small slice of pizza too I'm sure
  19. To much of what?? Volume? Fat? Calories? Carbs??
  20. Ok yes then they are testing for Gastroparesis It's funny I've not heard of anyone testing before.. I wonder if the doc saw something when scoping that made him think you might have it? I've read here that some people have had problems and found out after surgery they have it. But on the flip side I've also read that some think getting the sleeve can help people with it...
