  1. Hey! How was surgery?! How are you feeling! Pain? Experiences? Good job on -44 lbs! That's amazing! Are you in FB also?
  2. How are things going Christine? Are you on FB? How much have you lost now?! I'm so excited and nervous.
  3. I haven't been active at all on FB I will update it now! Hah I'm not online alot! Weird I know ;-P are you nervous? Have you added me already to FB?
  4. I might of written that funny! My insurance requires 90 days of pre required nutrition visits. So it's one visit a month so three visits and then the 4th and final required visit is on or a few days after my 90 days! Basically I meet with my nutritionist and we set goals and talk about eating better and what not. It's easy just long process!
  5. Hey everyone! Hope everyone had a great holiday!! Sorry I've been off the map sense then! A little update on me.. I have my last appointment for my 90 pre required visits on February 21st! Had my sleep study on Friday the 18th, get my results next Thursday the 31st, so I will find out if I have apnea or not! But then I will just need to wait ,-) once I have my appointment on the 21st, they will submit for approval, I don't need the co morbitities because of my bmi and my doctors office has only had 3 denials in the past 2 years, and they even have an on staff mediator person who will fight your insurance if it is denied so, still hoping all goes well with approval process. So as of yesterday I have 30 days until my submission! I joined the gym and have been going approx 3 times a week for an hour each visit. Other then that, just living and working.
  6. I have my last appointment for my per required visits on feb 21st! Then submitting for approval. We are aiming for a march surgery! I still over think doing it tho!
  7. I've always been overweight, I have also been on NuvaRing for 10 years, not once has a doc or wls doc said its a cause for my weight. They also say I should continue to use it after surgery! I had the lapband with it and with revision I will continue to use it! I love and swear by it! Almost every method has to list "weight gain" as a side effect because they have hormones which can effect a woman's weight. But check it out, keep an open mind and find a new supportive pcp! There are a lot out there!
  8. That's so awesome! I just started my 90 days until they can ask for approval! So hoping in February! Or march! I'm still nervous! Maybe even questioning doing it....
  9. I have my lip, tongue, Monroe, and nose pierced. You have to take them all out. When I went under they didn't want the plastic in either, I take all my piercings out for work all week and they don't close.. You should be ok for surgery, if not, it's worth the $60 to re pierce after
  10. Sounds like it should but I would be worried too! How are you feeling?
  11. Glad to hear you're doing better! Scary tho! But how awesome it was 1 procedure! Keep in touch!!
  12. What were the little things you were denied for? I start my 90 pre op nut visits next week!
  13. Plivation they are able to leave the band on. Sleeve you can't. I talked to my doc, I had almost all the same questions! Hah, message me and I'd be happy to fill you in on what we talked about!!
  14. That's where I'm at, she said two parts could happen however she won't know until she is in there! Haha. How long did 120# take? That's so awesome!
  15. Looking for VSG friends! I am just starting the process so I wont be actually going through revision until Feburary 2013, I made a Facebook page, I'm in need of advice, encouragement and reassurance that the sleeve and revision is the right choice! I feel it is but don't want to regret it! You can't get that stomach back! :-/ feel free to add me to your Facebook, my user name is Rxtine Vsg Hope to meet some cool people and feel better soon!! <3
  16. Ditto! I'm a newbie here and will be getting revision in feb 2013! How are you feeling? What are your results like?
  17. Mindy, let me know how it goes!! Are you doing your pre op diet just in case he can do the surgery? That's what my doctors plan is. Amazon, They did the removal and sleeve in one surgery? How did you feel? What were and are your stats if you don't mind me asking!
  18. Cowgirljane, you made me feel better! I'm still worried I might "fail" but you're right I don't feel I "failed" with the band, I think it "failed" me. The doctor also feels it might not have been the best choice but there is no way to know at the time. I got a good feeling talking with her about revision to sleeve, I feel I will succeed with this. Like you said, even If it's 100 lbs down only, I would be thrilled!! Have you been sleeved yet? You said you are a revision... Did you do two part surgery? Or were they able to do it in one?
  19. I will be getting a revision and I might have to do a two part surgery, the removal then heal and then the sleeve. Anyone gone thru this?! We (doc and I) are hoping ill be in good shape once she is in there and do both at once but if there is too much swelling, irritation scar tissue from the band it will have to be two steps... I did the floro X-ray and everything looks mellow I have three months till I can even do the removal but still wanna soak up as much info as possible! Any input would be great!
  20. I haven't had the sleeve but am doing revision hopefully in February after my 3 nutrition visits in 90 days for my insurance and then approval.
