  1. Tylenol isn't an NSAID....it is should be ok to take it for a headache. But check with your doctor if you have any questions before taking it. Hope you feel better soon!
  2. Hi! I'm almost 9 weeks post op and on a regular diet now. However, I am unable to eat much due to the feeling of having a lump in my throat/reflux. Even drinking is beginning to be difficult. I've tried taking Zantac, but it's not helping much. Anyone else experience this? Any suggestions? Thanks!
  3. I'm not too far from Monroe. Maybe 10 minutes. Small world!
  4. I live in between Cincinnati and Dayton.
  5. Are you taking anything for nausea, such as zofran? Zofran can cause headaches. The caffeine could be a culprit, too. Hope you feel better!
  6. I was pretty tired, though! I think 2 weeks would've been better.
  7. I work in PACU and took a week off.
  8. I have to agree with the recommendation for unjury chicken broth! I'm three weeks out....and it really helped me!
  9. I'm still here! Went back to work Monday. Feel ok from a surgery standpoint. It's the nasty cold I have that has been bringing me down. Down 23 lbs so far.
  10. The surgical glue will come off on its own in 5-10 days. Don't try to scrub it off.....let it come off on its own. Itching is pretty common in surgical wounds....usually not related to the glue.
  11. Well....I'm a little over a week out and feel pretty good! Going back to work tomorrow. Very little pain and no nausea. Getting fluids down fine....but still trying to learn what I can eat. No regrets so far!
  12. I had the sleeve and hiatal hernia repair on 12/27. I've actually noticed a decrease in my reflux.
  13. That's awesome! I went home yesterday. Other than some pain in the right side of my belly, I'm feeling pretty good!
  14. Well....I'm done and everything went well. Some pain in recovery, but it's gone now. Feel pretty good. Just sleepy.
  15. Can't believe my date is so close! The pre op diet hasn't been so bad. I even managed to bake Christmas cookies and not touch them. That's a big accomplishment for me! Lol! I'll definitely keep you updated! So nice to have some local peeps!
  16. My surgery is next week...excited and nervous at the same time!
  17. I will be going to Mercy Fairfield, too! I like Dr. Northup and the staff. Can't wait to get this done! I'm on the pre op diet now.
  18. I'm scheduled on 12/27, too! I am also a nurse. When do you plan to go back to work after surgery? I was hoping 10 days would be enough.
  19. I'm having surgery 12/27 in Cincinnati. I don't think it's really hit me yet!
