  3. I started losing hair at 2 months---I am 8 months post and the thinning has slowed down. I have thick and no one seemed to notice except my grandchildren, children and husband.
  4. I work at a hospital and I think they are the most accurate, but they are still 4 lbs lighter than my pcp's ----so when I weigh at work I add 4 lbs to keep myself where my Dr has me.
  5. I so need you in my corner to remind me if you make the decision live with it and make things better don't complain. I have had issues, but I have not even logged in to the forum for fear of whining----NOT a whiner. Love your post.
  6. I recently found out I was allergic to whey protein, milk, yogurt, cucumbers, cherries, cinnamon, I have changed to a egg white protein (actually tastes better than whey protein) 28 grams of protein only 3 grams of carbs and no sugar---I mix it w/soy milk which also has portein. You might try something like that---you might try health food stores that's where I found mine and love it.
  7. I so understand where you are ---- I am 7 months post op and I am in the same place. I need to lose 60 more pounds, but feel like I am hungry all the time. I so don't want to go backwards. Just wanted to let you know you were not alone.

Amen---I had some issues, and still do. I am 4 months out and 10 days post op I had a reaction to liquid hydrocodone. A really bad reaction and here I am about 4 months later still having reactions to all kinds of meds the last reaction was to Tylenol. I break out it bad hives and itch soooo bad. Anyway, I am having allergy testing on July 12th ---so I feel your pain. (never had allergic reaction in my life until now) On the good side I have lost 72 lbs and feel great other than the allergies.
  9. Liked the article --- put it in my bookmarks to read again when I hit another stall. Thanks for sharing.
  10. I have not had that problem, but I have had lots of reactions to meds and foods since the surgery. I have been broken out in hives for nearly 4 months. I am having allergy testing on the 12th of July. Hope it will shine some light on this. Never have been allergy to anything in my life. But, I have changed my body so maybe now I will have to super careful about what I eat and meds that I take. Hope your surgery goes well.
  11. I have been stalled for over a month now. Going back and forth between 223 and 220---it is driving me crazy, but my surgeon that was ok just don't let it get me down because it will be fine as long as I stay w/the program and believe in myself.

  16. My surgery was last Tuesday the 26th. And I feel great. Don't fret it. It will be alright. And, never 2nd guess yourself you are doing the right thing.
  17. I am having the same problem so glad to hear it is normal. It is painful. I am 6 days out. I am doing this on the liquids. Good luck tropic girl keep us posted
  18. I just found this page and am thrilled to have found it. I am doing my preop as of yesterday and it has gone pretty smooth--not bad at all. I have been pretty hard on myself the last 2 months in order to lose the weight I needed to be able to have surgery before years end. Made my goal that my insurance required as of November 26th and my surgeon set my date. I am having my surgery @ Cendar Park Regional in Austin. They have a great staff and bariactric staff there---it has made this the best decision of my life. I will post more after I am back home after my surgeryl.
  19. We will be started on this adventure almost on the same day--- My surgery is the 17th---my preop went good except my surgeon made me have a stress test and a Hida Scan on my Gallbladder (that test takes an hour and a half) I napped through it. Any way I start my pre surgery liquid diet on the 15th. I have lost 30 lbs to approved by the ins Wishing you luck. And, looking forward sharing this adventure with you.
