  1. I have read on another thread that they believe that some of the people who are giving very positive reviews of Mexican surgeons and their procedures are in fact not "real" people at all but those marketing for that particular Dr. I am super nervous now, scheduled with dr Garcia. U guys are real people right?? Lol
  2. I have read its a no no forever? Why?? This is a tragedy!! Lol
  3. I think a clotting disorder is very rare and it is probably hereditary. I don't think the average person should worry. But because clots are a risk of any surgery, just follow what your Dr says and u should be fine
  4. I am going through them as well with Dr Garcia next month. Alma is great! I am going alone as well
  5. Wow! Thank you guys for such great advice!! I love this forum. Ask and ye shall receive You all are the best!!
  6. Do you have to take chewable forever? With any chewables I see a lot have sugar (5-6 g). Is this ok or do we need sugar free? I found chewable multis and Calcium. Not sure if b12 comes that way. Thanks!!!
  7. lol, not a problem Texas! All the info is great to know! I think I will get the stockings just to have in case and make sure to get the exercise/walking in! Thanks everyone
  8. yes I would like to know that too, and if not using a coordinator what is his cost and how do you get picked up/transfered back and forth? Thanks!!
  9. Is that test something you can get at your general Dr office?
  10. Keep us posted! I am with him next month! Super excited ( and nervous)
  11. Where do I get these stockings from?
  12. I will be with dr Garcia next month and I am almost 100% certain he does the staples and then sutures over that. I spoke with alma his coordinator. She also said he uses titanium staples (the standard). I don't think you could go wrong with him! Good luck in your decision
  13. I am also paying $4700, and my surgery is next month on the 4th in TJ.
  14. Thanks everyone!! I appreciate the responses
  15. This is my big fear! Did any of you wear compression stockings? I know that they help. I know that getting up to walk will help reduce risk as well. Did your Dr send you home on blood thinners?? I know that clots are a risk with any surgery, but it's scary none the less!
  16. I am self pay, and I have heard that there is such as a thing as medical complication insurance if anything should happen after surgery. Does anyone carry this or know who provides this? Thanks!!
  17. Same with my family, they think I am crazy! They think Mexico, and the worst comes to mind! We have to remember that WE have done the research. I have been sending them good reviews I find if the Dr and hospital hoping it will ease their minds. But in the end, I am doing this for ME and I am the only one I need to convince Be confident in your decision!
  18. I am in Gurnee! Have my surgery Dec 4th!
  19. I was looking at the powders. If I mix with Water is that a clear liquid or considered a full liquid? I am gonna get the Isopure flavored waters with 40g Protein, but wanted powdered form too for variety. Thanks!!
  20. I am going with Dr Garcia. I have been all over all the sleeve forum websites and many many people have used him and were thrilled with their outcome and journey. In these forums is where u will find REAL people and not staff, marketers, etc. when u see a post About him, look at the person's profile who wrote it. U can see if they post other things too and they are legitimately here for support.
