My surgeons office said i didnt need one since i am so young??? i thought this was a bit odd.

do you mind me asking how much your percentage was? like mine i have to pay 15%

Im 24 and my surgery is on December 21st. The reason im having the sleeve is because i want long term weight loss and i want to be healthy. Im not doing it just to lose a few pounds i want this surgery to change my life for the better and be more confident about myself. Plus, since i am so young i can have this for the rest of my life and keep my weight off. I guess you just need to think about what you really want. I wouldnt rush into a pretty serious surgery just for a few pounds. Just my opinion.

Like everyone else on here i also thought about getting the band, my aunt has the band and has been pretty sucsessful with it so why wouldnt i want to get it? When i went for my consult with the same surgeon my aunt went to he flat out told me he wouldnt recommend the band and that the band has so many complications and that you will be throwing up and coming in for fills all the time. Pretty much changed my mind. I dont have time for that . Plus if im going to be having surgery why not do it right the first time. There are all kinds of risks associated with any wls. Just choose for you and what you think is best for your life.

Girl, tell the man the truth. Plain and Simple. You obviously broke up for a reason and yes you may still love him but, if he tells you that he wouldnt be attracted to you at a smaller weight.. (which should make any man happier) seems a little iffy to me. He should want you healthy. Not at a certain weight. I can just see you two getting back together and then he could hinder your weight loss or even have you gaining because that's what makes HIM happy, not you. I hope you make the right decision for you. Just be happy.

I'm sorry that she's being that way. Maybe you should talk to her and just let her know that you fully supported her when she went through her wls and that you would like the same kind of support. Good Luck.

What did you buy for your liquid diet? i know some basics but i dont want to feel like im starving the whole time. any advice? liquid diet starts in 2 weeks!! Krysti.

So i got the info today about my approval for surgery but never got to talk to my surgeons office today. So does anyone know what you have to pay upfront? My insurance says my OOP exspense is 15% of plan allowance. Does that mean i have to pay all before surgery??? Did anyone get to pay theirs in payments? Help!! Way too many questions right now Krysti

So i heard back from my insurance company last tuesday & i got APPROVED they said they sent a letter out last friday to my surgeon. BUT... i called my surgeons office and they said they were waiting for the letter and once they got it that one of the nurses would call to schedule my date... NO WORD YET... i guess im just being impatient but i realllly want to find out a date for surgery. How long did it take everyone else to actually schedule their date??? I will be calling them in the morning!!!
